Would You Buy A Pup From This Person.

I also hope it all ends well .

And to answer jess a whippet does not have to have 3 ribs showing to be a healthy wieght some whippets are naturaly big i had a racing whippet full ped 22ins tts who raced at 36lbs he was well muscled and you where lucky to see 1 rib showing he wasn't over wieght or over fed its was just his make up he lived a long and happy life to the age of 16 his breeding was a mix of show bred whippets and racing whippets btw.

A whippet should look lean and toned like the others have said 3 vertabrae in the middle of the back and a rib or 3 is ideal but not all whippies are built the same depends on the breeding and other factors. Don't rely on everything you read in books they are not always as accurate as you may think .

Knowledge and experience on places like this forum the people on here is worth more than what most books can tell you as it comes from ppl who know the breed inside out wether they own whippies just as pets or race and breed them too.

Books offer you the typical breed standards which do not always run true. :)

I agree, each individual dog is different I have two adult whippets one's a fussy eater and I think will never get fat it doesn't matter what food you put in front of him he's fussy and not greedy where as the my bitch is greedy and she usually finishes off what Kaspa leaves so she's a more chunky build. The main thing is obviuosly is that the dogs are given sufficient food and the right food with good nourishment if you can't do that don't kkep dogs.

How many litters are you allowed to breed before you need a licence from the council ?

This may be the way to go as I thought it was only 2 litters.

Well thats positive news. Well done

She sounds like a small puppy farmer :( ,,,getting rid of a nice brindle lad a few weeks back, litter of brindle pups and looks like a future litter soon,,,,also other breeds :(

If they're breeding for profit, then they should be paying tax. I wonder if they have paid any tax on the income made from these litters. Just a thought :- " I'm sure a visit from the tax man would assist them in ensuring that all is within the law :- "

Nothing back from the RSPCA!

Have just rung the RSPCA and it looks like an investigation is going on. They have seen the breeder but I have to ring back in a couple of weeks!

I would gladly rehome the father of the pups ( piccie of him at the beginning of this post) absolutely sure he would get on just fine with my other 2 boys .... X ;)

I would guess they have told her to change certain things and will go back to see if she has done as she was advised!
