Been there, done that... so yes!

I bet Murphy can swim beter than I can .. We try very hard to teach him when its safe to swim and when water is out of bounds.
The first time Remy jumped into the pond and realised he was sinking I started pulling off my shoes only to see Oscar swim over and under Remy giving him a piggy back to shore. After that when we walked near water Remy wore a swim vest and Oscar never went far from his side.

I would jump in, I’d do anything for my little girl ;)

Yes...and like others,I've already done it.

Yes. But then I’d start having difficulty too and someone would need to jump in to save both of us.....

Most likely, but you do hear of people doing this and then requiring rescuing themselves, often at great risk and expense.
