Zana spent all evening prowling round the house instead of sleeping as normal.

This morning i woke to find she's got her first season.........one bed stripped

and washed already lol

But she's still prowling back and forth, plus she keep's coming over to me to

fuss round her. Do you think its just hormones ?

I don't want to miss something by putting it down to her season.

I find this with my girls especially on the first one, she is not feeling herself and needs a bit of reasurance. Bless her, don't they grow up fast.

Aw bless her.

I recommend lots of TLC :D

Bluebell just lays about for the first days of her season, looking thoroughly miserable.

Just keep your eye on the discharge, making sure it looks bright red or fading to watery red...and hint of browness then get her checked out.

Thanks.....i thought it was but i like to have a 2nd opinion :)

Do they eat more, i can't say i noticed a change in Kaya and

Sada was speyed after her first season. But the last couple of

days Zana has lost her appetite and found a donkeys!

Where did my baby go......it doesn't seem 5 minutes since

i picked her up from Susan.

Aww poor zana, hope shes soon feeling ok , none of mine went off their food either .

Hope you have your season knickers lined up :D

Bless her, Sox was similar when she had her first one in July at 17 months of age! She was very quiet and no doubt it will be followed by what seems to be the inevitable phantom in our household (w00t)

Didn't notice any change in her appetite tho' ...... she already tries to eat enough to feed Cesar Millan's pack :sweating:

Some bitches find seasons upsetting, my greyhound used to get in a real tizzy when she was in season, all stopped when she was spayed. She will need extra fusses, get out the old blankets!!!!!! I have never used season pants on mine, they prefer to keep themselves clean.

Soon be over and she'll be back to normal

Poor Zana , sounds like a normal start to a season to me :huggles:

Its just me making a fuss isn't it :b

Not wanting my youngest to grow up

My girls do get to wear season knickers at night so they

can still come to bed but during the day i just put the old

throws on the sofas and make sure any visitors steer

clear.

She's 11 months her bitrhday is 18th September :)

aww poor girlie...hope she settles soon x

Mmmm another first...........Zana woke me up at 3.30 this morning

wanting to go out to toilet......that one has been coming upstairs

since she was 8 weeks and never once needed to go until morning.

I will be glad when she's settles again

I have found bitches need to pass urine more often when they are in season .

Poor Zana :(

There seems to be a huge difference in when whippet bitches come into season. Gracie will be 6 months on 11 Sept and last week at puppy class, she mounted my leg for the first time and did so several more times that evening. The trainer (and behaviourst) who runs it was amazed and said she was very young to do this. However, since then she hasn't even tried it and I wondered if it was something she scented from one of the other puppies. I have two spayed bitches at home and this behaviour is a first.

Aww hope Zana feels better soon, it's hard becoming a woman   On the humping front Molly started humping her friend Rufus (5 month old vizla) about a month before she had her 1st season, she came into season when she was 10 months old :)) :) )

poor zana, hope she feels better soon, :huggles: :huggles:

i know how you feel ann, ruby is going through it to :( they are such a worry :sweating:
