Posted September 29, 2004 10:59 PM Is this true or another scare tactic by the AR groups?
"I urge all of you to go the the link below, read and sign this
petition to ban the export of greyhounds from Australia to Asia for
their new race tracks...
Am a little bit confused with this "Urgent" Petition.
I signed this Petition back in the fall of 2004.
On looking back it has the same Addy.
Question is, was this Petition presented to the Aussie Gov in that year and left on the petition site to be raked up again.
Or are they waiting to get...

Do remember this "rescue" from a couple of years ago.
After the stink that was raised they said that they would not take anymore Greyhounds.
Think I remember that Lisa had a protest outside and rescued 3 whippets that where to be put down.
Had thought this Hell Hole had shut...
Fair enough.
But if you read throught this list
Think that you might find that some of these dogs have been rehomed and then abandoned.
Also that some have never ever since a NGRC track or even a trainer, down to indvidual cases and not down to a Scum trainer who dumps their dog.
Its about both.
Maybe the thread title was ment to put you off????
Take one of the dogs Slippy Mac.
Whelped 1999... race and was rehomed.
Owner after a few years became ill the RSPCA was asked to take over the dog the RSPCA rehomed the dog.... dog later found wandering very thin in Feb 2007
Most people up to now have disagreed with the EM artical suggesting that Greyhounds are viscious.
That is up to now.
Some one has come to her defence and Published pictures showing Greys and the harm that they have done.
Look for the post from a Mr Ratty
Warning if you are prone to oossss...

Did read you`re artical, you made a point ,good or bad I cant say.
On the other hand Emma Milne called for the geocide of a breed of dog because she does not like Greyhound racing, make no mistake that is her reasoning.
There are people that would support her, very few I would think...
Im I right in thinking you are the author of the above Manda Scott.
By the way you sig is wrong.
Mahatma Gandi acutally said Quote"The greatness of a nation is the way it treats its peasants" he was a middle class lawyer and was made to changed the statment to"The greatness of a nation is...
When I read your first post did think at the time you should get a second opinion.
In my LAYMANS knowledge of Greyhounds your vet saying that these dogs suffering from this is common in racing dogs was CRAP.
Emma Milne the so called TV Vet published an artical in a Mag called Dogs Today calling for all Greyhounds to be Killed as they are a danger to other animals.
The Editor of this Mag has a blog spot where she has appoligised.

I copied this reply about Sore and thin pads from another site.
This reply is from Tom Meulman, a top Greyhound vet in Aus.

The problem you have raised is somewhat unusual, particularly the red appearance of the dog’s feet. It would appear that it is more than likely a fungal...
