So far the ones above and Halifax are giving the best quotes for Willow. Halifax cover seems a little bit better than healthy pets; but I have to look into all the ins and outs of it properly...brain is fried right now!! :wacko:
Interesting that Axa underwrites Healthy Pets, yet healthy pets...
Really? I heard a few people say that that when it came to renewal they no longer had the no excess, unless they didn't read their polices correctly. :unsure:
I'm looking around online at the moment and Halifax are looking good with £50 excess. I can't see a single policy with no excess now.
Craafty aren't they?! :rant:
Lure us in with lifetime policy ans no excess, then ditch the no excess!!!!!
I don't feel to guilty about not keeping up with the payments now. Her insurance would have run out in two weeks time and I'd be in the same postition anywway.
Need to find a decent...
Hi,
I had missed a few payments for Willow's insurance and it's been cancelled earlier this summer. Archie is still insured through M&S. I liked it because it was no excess and lifetime cover.
So today I went online to get insurance again for Willow. I don't see a no excess option anymore...
Can't help you with the cd;
But if you google sound effects websites some of them allow you to download for free and would have traffic noise sound effects on them. Might be useful till you get a hold of the cd.
I bought a book on ttouch for dogs. Half read it and gave it a go on Archie, he didn't sit still long enough to do it. Willow enjoyed it, but no more than a normal petting session. I gave up on it after that. I think I'd need some to demo how to do it properly for it to sink in for me!! :blink:
They didn't learn from the death of that poor greyhound and now another dog nearly suffered the same fate. :rant:
How useless must they be on the whole if they don't bother to log in their books that there is a living creature under their care??!!
And we wonder why criminals get away with so...
They have gained a bad rep because they are victims at the hands of the people that take part in dog fighting. They have been chosen and bred for this "sport" because of their hard mouths, power, drive and ability to inflict alot of damage. Compared with a soft mouthed lab or a small breed, a...
I see that BBC northern ireland has Spotlight on at 9pm tonight;
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/6969651.stm
It's about an undercover investigation into dog fighting and the reporter was a spectator at a dog fight in Tandragee.
The Panorama programme will then be on in Northern...
There is also Many Tears Rescue that has lots of lurchers (some of them pups) looking for new forever homes.

I have my mobile number on my dogs tags. (Vet's number on the other side.)
When you are at home you can still answer your mobile, but when you are out you can't answer your home phone - if you get what I mean. Most mobiles have an answering service set up and people can leave messages there...
Burns sell 100% dried fish treats which my dogs love. Dried liver is great as well.
I get the odd sample of dried dog food for free in Pets At Home and use them as training treats sometimes. For the small amount they are getting I don't think it will have that big an effect on them.
Nina,
I think you got me back for laughing at your antics with Arnie earlier in this thread.... Arnie has moved in here!!!!!!!!! (w00t)
I was sitting on the computer last night when in round the door scuttles the biggest brown spider I've ever seen. It stopped and turned to look right at me...
