Yes Nutshell won many CC's all under different Judges.
44 CC's over how many years?
We have around 30+ CC's available each year she wasn't at every show. It took a few years for her to accumulate this number as it did with the Dog CC holder.
Yes she stopped some good bitches but that’s...
No a castrated dog wouldn't be placed as a judge should also be taking into consideration the ability of the dog to be able to reproduce. i.e. would bitch make a good brood bitch or a dog make a good stud. This has nothing to do with its ability to work.
Showing is not all about working ability...
Another point with regards RCC's, which goes against my first point about RCCs
and before anyone kicks off this is not aimed at any dog or owner or kennel it is just a thought, but if a Whippet has won many RCC's and only one or two CC's over its time as a show dog which could be around eight...
I personally don't think a champions class would make any difference to dogs becoming champions unless suggesting that a dog is only able to win 3 CC's as a Maximum, Then what about Best of Breed is the CC winner only eligible to win this? I think this would devalue the champion status and...
Back to the point about metal cages,
IF the KC want us all to use metal cages so that the public can view the dogs on the benches then they should provide them, without an increase to the entry fee!!
Even if they did do this I would but something over the front.
As per normal with crufts its...
After a short but agressive illness we had to part with our old Champion
Nevedith Utterley Uppacrust at Dunaruna, (Glen) aged 11yrs.
As you can understand this has been a difficult few days for Roy (Dad) as Glen was his best mate and shadow.
Glen leaves us with much to be proud of as he...
I think you have a very short sighted view of show people if you think when we breed we don't aim to do so with the breed standard in mind.
If you consider the breed over many years I would think that showing whippets started around the same time as lure or track racing.
Of cause showing is...
I think that the assumption that all show whippets are over weight and over size is not true. Yes we have big dogs in the ring as you do in the field. But we also have many that are correct size whippets that are very successful in the ring, granted more so in *bitches than dogs.
Another point...
Does it count if you like Yorkshire Pudding with Beef and tatties.
I'm not sure the tat will help :p
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
TATTIES??? thats Scots.
I think you will find it is spuds.
I must be a true Yorkshire man coz I always wear mine when I'm out with the dogs.
I was thinking of having some rabbits tatooed on my head,
from a distance they might look like hares or is that hairs,
( I'm going a but thin on top).
Does owner need T wear hob nail boots & work dun pit from 4 inT morn til 9 aT neaT, wi sunday afternoons off Tpub fo Tpint.
Is a flat cap optional?
Does it also make a difference if gaffer can pick 'is snap dog up bi scruff 'n' tail and chuck it down back ginnal?
Maybe feedin um on bread n...
if a dog lives in the home has lots of attention, gets its walkies etc etc then when it goes to a show its not that big a deal.think about it .if you were stuck in a kennel for hours on end and probalby only got taken out for a bit of exercise or to go to a show wouldnt you be alert and...
Interestingly I had a phone call from a lady looking for a whippet as a pet only,
she would like an older *bitch, i.e not a puppy as she also has another dog that is getting on in years and feels it wouldn't be fair to have a pup 'ragging' her to bits.
Now this sounds like a lovely home for a...
