Exactly 15 year ago today I got the most gorgeous whippet puppy , Hula .

Today she has not been so well and I don't know how much longer I'll have her for .

So I'm pretty upset ...........

Here she is on the day I got her aged 9 weeks ( don't look at me ! )

Thank you all for your kind comments . Today she is a bit worse and won't even eat the fancy food which has been tempting her up until now .

I know I should be grateful to have had her this long .Especially as my first whippet died aged 2 , but this is really hard

I have just had the most devastating 2 days culminating in the loss of my "special"

cat, I saw him being born on Easter Monday 13 years ago and I held him as he left

me last night, with some help from my vet :'(

I miss him so much and I truly feel for you and Hula xxxxxx :luck:

So sorry to hear Hula isn't well. I've just been through this with our Jenna who was very old too, so I know how you are feeling. 15 is such a good age for a whippy, and I hope she improves. The oldies are so special aren't they. :huggles: They don't ask for much and are so dignified and gentle. They hold a special place in the home and heart.

My Fred is 12 years old, and when I think back to when I held him at four weeks old as a shivering little bundle in my cupped hands, and the ups and downs of life that he has since shared with me, it does make you quite emotional thinking about it.

I hope Hula picks up a bit. :luck:
