Tomorrow, Tasmania is conducting the Puppy of the Year contest, the judges are a "secret panel"  however,  the past few years they have used two judges from the following day's champ show!!!  The forecast for Launceston is afternoon showers, the precipitation has finally filtered down from Queensland. 8)

And , guess what won ! [Drumroll] None other than Noelene's puppy Borzoi ! Not a Whippet, I know , but a great win for a great person with a great dog.

Well Done to Steve and Noelene for Puppy of Year, my club runs this show and I was very pleased to hand the winnings over to these loyal hound people.

A huge Congrats to Rachael and Smooch on your Grand.

Thankyou Molly & Anne for the Tas Puppy of the Year Congrats :) The last notable Puppy win I had was with my whippet Pastel (Floyd's daughter) when she represented Tasmania and was the overall winner of the Eukanuba/Dog Showbiz Australasian Puppy of the Year way back in 1995. Now all my lovely whippet puppies are veterans (w00t)

Thanks Griff, the Tasmania Kennel Club Inc committee as usual conducts this prestigious event with style.

Gee news travels fast. I came on here to post something else and saw that everyone already knew about Clover's BIS.

It was a special win because I let the strapper handle her. I occasionally let him have a go to keep him interested and so that he'll take me to shows. :- " He, naturally, waved the sash in my face and said I got her first BIS. He proceeded to tell everyone nearby that he only shows occasionally but when he does and no matter which dog, he gets all our big wins!!! :D

Not a great pic as it was early evening. We didn't have a camera so the RUBIS winners kindly obliged. Willhave to get more prepared and I need to learn not to call her as all she wanted to do was break and run to me. :(

And she was a feather duster last week.

Congrats Griff and let's hope we both have many more.

Cheers

Now what I was going to post was that I've finished the whippet catalogue for the shows and am posting notifications out tomorrow and Wednesday. Numbers can be collected on the day with your catalogues.

I've been checking with exhibitors as I know one lot of entries hasn't been received so if you want to double check with me before I print, please email me privately or give me a quick call.

Cheers

Actually - that is NZ CH Parnew Foreign Image At Shenace - not an Australian Champ, a NZ Champ - so 12 going from the list above & 2 NZ Champs - the gorgeous Fern gets a double deal
