I didn't show as we did the Mother's Day thing. You can cuddle Tequila this weekend coming, she's really taken over the household now, was a little put out from her big trip up to Nth Qld but flying on all cylinders now.

Had some pic's taken by Jay on the weekend and just waiting for her to send them through.

Thanks Lynda - yes Steelie moved brilliantly on Saturday (almost felt like he wanted to show again, must of been from not showing him the weekend before - had his nose out of joint).

Haa haaa... that would have done it - I remember taking Alex to a show once, have no idea how I managed to not enter him :blink: Anyway, was he NOT impressed by being only a travel companion - I am sure if he could talk, he would have given me my pedigree (w00t) Tell Steelie he is going into retirement - that'll fix him, he will show like he has a rocket up his butt :lol:

Congrats to all the winners over the weekend. Bronte and I were home doing the whelping thingy while the girls Sonia and Alicia kept the Taejaan flag flying. Halle came home with 2x BIGs and Sniper our Am Ch Sib won the breed one day, and CC the other,clas in Gp both days. He is really coming into himself now. It is hard to move a dog from the ice and snow into Australia during such hot weather. I guess we will not see the best of him until he acclimatizes.

Oh, and we do now have puppies. 4 red salukis, two of each, from Drama and Jasper, too cute.

Melanie Deerfoot

Sonia and I are saddened to hear of the loss of Melanie Deerfoot. We first met

Melanie and Hazel when we leased their lovely whippet Muffin, Spec BIS

Ch Deerfoot Cameo Cabaret to Cricket, Ch Noholme Pepper Mill.As

arranged Mel was to get a bitch, and as there was only one bitch in

the litter, she went to live with Melanie and Hazel. After a time Mel

gave us the pleasure of having Spec BIS Ch Taejaan Tia Maria back,

and she went on to be one of our top winning bitches, and producers.

Her daughter Ch Taejaan Ms Margarita was the first owner bred Whippet

to go BIS Sydney Royal.

Melanie will be missed terribly by the whippet fraternity. We all

looked forward to seeing both her and Barry at every Whippet

Specialty show in NSW.It was lovely to catch up and talk about her

favourite breed, the Whippet.

We were both proud to have had Melanie's friendship, and her hospitality

was second to none.

Our condolences to all her family and friends.

Rest In peace Mel.

For babies who'd not had one ounce of lead training before day of the show they did extremely well.

They knew all about standing and tables etc but they'd not done any gaiting work at all! :b
