Well ... it would have been six for the whippets if I hadn't have had another senior moment (I tell you, I'm only 45 but I feel these moments coming thick and fast lately) and temporarily lost my car keys which made me late for the show and Gr 4 was on first and we missed out by a hair's breadth.

Maybe you should of usedyour spare keys????

Spare keys?? You mean the key that I've put in a really safe place ... so safe in fact that I wouldn't know where to find mine!!

On another topic, I've just got photos of the young junior with Tia on the weekend... the photos aren't the best quality but I thought I'd share them anyway as I'm just so damn proud of Tia for behaving (for once!!)

Stacking Tia on the table for the first time

Free standing her in the middle of the ring ... not sure that I could have done that!!

The final line-up just before she was announced the winner

Cheers

Cool photo's Elly :))

I'm often amazed at how the juniors get the best out of some dogs, infact, at times I almost get a bit snarky when you see how brill the dogs behave for them, then you go in the ring with the 4 legged & do the EXACT same thing, 4 legged on the end of the lead looks at you like you are from another planet & how dare you request they stop perfectly & show their ears  (w00t)

Well done Lana and all other winners! Any pics? Angie
There was a "pet photographer" there randomly taking pics - I asked her to take some of my whippets in the ring/on the move - am waiting for them to appear on her website to see if they're any good.

South Australian Battle of the Champions.18.7.09

Runner-up to Best ( A long haired fluff), Australian Grand Champion Skyeway The Passion. :D

Excellent! Congrats to 'Gina', and Geoff, Kerry and Cartman

We were at Cairns on the weekend. Unfortunately couldn't enter Friday under Ian Rasmussen 'cause my travelling companion couldn't get Friday off work, but we did ok on Saturday under Mr R F Marshall who had awarded Dino a BIG in January at Gladstone - he found him again for BOB but we couldn't crack a BIG or RIG this time unfortunately. Jillie was RC bitch and Darcie was MPIG. It was quite a good whippet entry too of about 11 whippets.

Nothing on Sunday under Kay McGhie.

I am now on Facebook. Got a phone call from Number 1 child to tell me that facebook is not for old people.;

ooh!! well I'll have to look you up!! A lady over here that owned one of Australia's best known dobes"Aust Ch Elmaro All Fire" (obviously before I was born) has just joined facebook ... we were trying to work out how old she is and I'd say that shes in her late 80s!!! She keeps phoning up mum for help but its the blind leading the blind!! Mum has booked me in to visit her to do her tax and give her a facebook lesson at the same time!! I love it purely for looking at photos of other peoples dogs... its a big timewaster though!!

is that like Myspace?

my son wants to do a myspace but I won't let him. Hate having personal details on the internet.

yes its like myspace, but I think better ... as long as you monitor him you should be ok... just put in a name and email address and make sure he doesn't share any information with strangers etc etc. You don't have to put in things like hometown etc, and there is an option to only share information with friends so people can't just click on you and see if you're not home!!

Good result from the weekend

On Saturday night in the bitch line up the only two bitch's asked to run again were my two - Lyric (Coridale Cover Story) and Tequila (Cheshunt Creme Tequila) with Lyric receiving Chall Bitch and Tequila going reserve. Lyric then went Reserve of Breed and Aust Bred in Group. Good challenge points but would of loved to taken some from the boys as well :D

My Hungarian Wirehaired Viszla received Puppy In Group and received his first points, got to play with the big boys in group lineup - he was funny, each time a dog ran round he watched them all the way, at least it gave him great expression.

On Sunday - Lyric this time went Reserve Bitch and received Intermediate in Group.

Lana I think got Reserve dog challenge both days with Dino and Minor Puppy of Breed both days with Darcie - I think she'll let us know if I'm wrong.

Cristina

You're right Cris - thanks for that - also Darcie got Minor in Group on Saturday night.

Nice wins for Lyric and Tequila - good to see.

Also I met Master Ashton - nice boy!

Not sure if any whippys went on for a class in group win because I was packing up after minor. Minor went to a very very pretty PBGV.

Newman was o.k. considering he hadn't been to a show since Feb. He didn't like the wind and flapping gazebos much. I got windburn to.

Tia looks purdy in that pic :p

Beautiful photo of Miss Tia :) Way to go on her group win ;) Congrat's to the boy winners too ;) ;)

No chamo shows for us for a while - tis our off season... but had an open show today... they are good for getting the youngsters out for a bit of practice :b Anyway, the child who as both arms in casts due to a netball injury won BEST IN GROUP with Master Kobilicous  Wish I was on the end of the lead beating many champions & even a grand champion! Child now banished to it's room... I'm showing said dog from here on in  Can I post her back to Ozzie (w00t) (w00t)
