Our deepest sympathies are with you and your family at this very sad time :( For Merlin. :huggles:

How completely devastating, so sorry..................

thank you lesley for putting this on for me :huggles:

thank you all for your kind words and thoughts.

when merlin opend his eyes and i saw the lumps i just couldnt believe it :(

i had the appointment with the specialist yesterday and i was devestated at what he told me.

my 10 yr old daughter ran out of the vets in tears , i set off in floods :(

i know im doing the right thing , its just so hard .

a sight hound with no eyes is not a good thing.

you see him happy as anything with his mum and littermates and think how can i do it ??????

but i see his life of no sight , operations and pain and that is the only thing that is getting me through.

i live next door to my parents and they have a whippet , 2 dobermanns , my old mongrel and a cat buried beneath the fruit trees so merlin will be joining them.

im having him cremated as i cant bear to put his little body in the ground , its too cold . i know he wouldnt know but the thought of him outside in this weather :(

so once again thank you for all your lovely comments about merlin and im going to give him a cuddle off each and every one of you :huggles:

thank you

Don't forget a cuddle from me. He is lucky to have been so loved and treasured during his short life. My thoughts are with you and your dear little man during this sad and difficult time. :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

i've only just seen this, so very sorry about Merlin :(

although this little lad has only had a short life, all he has ever known during it is love and kindness in abundance, :huggles:

:( Just caught up with this - I'm so sorry.

Cuddles for your special wee man and also for you and your family.

Will be thinking of you :huggles:

'why is it that the kindest things we do are always the hardest!'

thinking of you at this very sad time

How terrible for you Sharon. My thought are with you :huggles:

Dear Sharon,

I dont often post on here. . or as much as I used to but Peony and I had to ake this decision a fewe years ago with a puppy we bough that turned out ot have uncontrollable epilepsy, it was one of the times when we KNneW what we did was in her best interest and that gave us the strength to get on with the job and have it done. You will be saving him from so much suffering although at the cost of your own.

My thoughts are definitly with you at this difficult time and i send my biggest hug to Merlin as he is no doubt being spoiled rotten in his final days..

all the best Nick :(
