A Tribute To One Very Special Whippet

A very beautiful Tribute.

It' so good that you have found the strength to write and they are such moving lines you have written that I have tears as I try to reply.

Daisy had such a beautiful life with you so she would not like you to be sad. She would never think that you have let her down. The freedom that she so much loved and was so privileged to have received comes with risks and she would not of wanted it any other way.

We are all thinking of you. :huggles:

You've got me in tears here again Kelly :'(

Stop blaming yourself, you have loved Daisy dearly and done

everything you can to give her a good life with you and Angel.

It was just a terrible accident, as i have told you, you weren't

to blame.

Sleep tight Daisy

So sorry for your sad loss, we are all thinking of you :(

We are so sorry to hear about your loss, please do not blame yourself, your dog was happy content and very much loved, she was lucky to have you and vis versa, she would not want you to be sad , but remember the good times, and the funny antics she must have got up to being a whippet. Your pain at Daisy's loss is so tangible. :'(

I wish I knew what to write except I'm so sorry and what a lovely tribute to your girl. :flowers:

What a lovely tribute to a special girl.

Kelly I doubt for one minute that Daisy would ever think that you had let her down. What happened was a tragic accident you gave her a wonderful life with everything a whippet could want.

Your tribute is so heartfelt it jumps out of the screen and clearly shows your love for a lovely girl.

I cannot even imagine how you feel but please don't blame yourself. We have to give these wonderful dogs the freedom they crave to run as free as the wind and sometimes terrible things do happen but I'm sure she would not have had the lovely life she did have if she had been tied to a lead.

you did not let her down Kelly dont think that, youve given her a wonderful life..and Im sure

she will be looking over you forever.

Oh Kelly, its a good job i havent got to talk to anyone right now.........im in tears here :'(

That really is a beautiful tribute to Daisy, and as others have said you are not to blame, im sure we would all feel the same if it were us, but really kel it was just a horrid accident that could happen to anyone x

Daisy will always be with you in your heart xxxx

what a beautiful tribute and what a gorgeous, pretty little girl, so sad to read of your tragedy.

I tried to post this previously and lost it so apologies if there are two different versions.

Such a sad, sad loss. I lost my whippet, Sheena, in a road accident years ago and still blame myself.

Hope you don't mind but I wrote a poem for you. Hope it means something . It's not very good I know but meant from the heart.

MY SWEETEST FLOWER

By night, she walks the corridors of my heart

Soothing my pain with her soft, warm breath

My Angel calls to her and they bound across the lush meadows of dreams

Their playful games filling my spirit with joy

She chases my thoughts of love and adoration like startled rabbits

And returns them to me with such adoring eyes

My heart pounds with the ecstacy of her presence

As we walk together into the blinding light of the rising sun

I wake suddenly from my stupour

Her presence melting into the reality of the morn

By day, she is gone and my heart is torn apart with grief

But tonight, my sweetest flower, we will walk with you again in our dreams
