Aaaaaaaaaw!  More beautiful babies.  You have just got to record their birthday as 20 February, as I said on another topic, it seems to be a very popular Whippet birthday!!!

and its easy to remember 20/02 :- "

I cant believe my lot were like that less than 4 weeks ago (w00t)

Fingers crossed for the `little lady ` :luck:

 CONGRATULATIONS Jillie, Dino & Lana

How exciting ;) We will almost be related all going well in another 4 wks, Jillie's dam is a litter sister to the boy I have used over Molly (Brie's mum)

Was thinking about you last nite, a new TV programme has just started - it is an American programme about a filthy rich family with loads of skeletons in the closet, it is a bit wicked & wild - anyway.... it is called Dirty Sexy Money - you were looking for names with Sexy in it - however, I do have to "bags" the main characthers name for the male that I will keep, his name is Trip - & my goodness, he is certainly on one at the moment finding out all his kids may not be his (w00t)

:luck: to your wee girl.

they're beautiful

:luck: with the tiny one, hope she's ok

congratulations  beautiful  good :luck: with the little girl

Already had "DirtySexyMoney" on my list - only thing was it's not a song really, but I think I could make an allowance. :)

We were already related anyhow through some of the Taejaan lines.

Jillie's uncle is very yummy - fell in love with him with the pic I saw on Jackie's website.

The little lady is still alive this morning, and has a little belly so must have been getting something into her during the night. She's just not forging ahead in leaps and bounds like the others are. I think there might be something internal going on. But she doesn't get left out of the sleeping huddle and Jillie doesn't push her away so perhaps I'm just freaking out a little and everything's going to be ok.

Unfortunately, I have lost the two littlies. The girl left us this morning and the boy this evening. He looked ok this morning, still small but I thought ok, then throughout the day it became more obvious that everyboddy was overtaking him in weight and he wasn't suckling as often as the others. This evening I thought maybe I could have force fed her, I tried to feed him and then realised it was bubbling ever so slightly out of his nose. I hadn't seen that when he was suckling with the others. Had a look in his mouth and found the cleft palette. I did check her out too but could find no evidence of that in her.

We couldn't get into the vets for dew claws today so are going tomorrow and going to a new vet too.

GET THIS - the new receptionist at my vets today tried to tell me (as she had been directed to, by the new vet, I'm assuming) that each puppy would have to "go into surgery" and "be anaesthetised" to have their dew claws done. I said NO THEY WON'T - they're two days old - she said "Oh they'll be sedated - I said NO THEY WON'T - let me speak to the vet who's coming out here (they do a clinic in our town three times a week) and she said, "Oh that's problem number two - they won't be doing surgical procedures out there anymore". I asked to speak to the senior vet/owner of the business - he wasn't there. So I said that's no problem - just cancel my appointment and I'll take them somewhere else.

Have you ever heard anything so ridiculous! Perhaps this is a veiled attempt to stop us from doing dewclaws - insist that two day old pups must be anaesthetised and charge for a full surgery on each pup.!

Twenty years I've been a client at that surgery and I've noticed in the last two years how the prices have become exorbitant and on my last visit for stitches for a cut on JD and a urinery tract infection and a check up on Layla - Layla didn't even get a good look - vet said she was too tense and just handed me another dose of Rimadyl and charged me $47 for a 'reconsult' - she hardly even laid her hands on her - wouldn't take her outside and watch her walk - just asked me to try and describe it! JD didn't get his stitches - just antibiotics and all the time of the consult was spent on him.

I'm ranting I know, bit emotional tonight. :( But I could not believe what I heard today.

Sorry to hear about the two little ones but, unfortunately, clefts do seem to occur every now and again. I, certainly, would never try to rear them I have them pts asap. :(

And that's all you need, an argument with your Vet, when you are tired and stressed. Hope you find a new Vet who inspires more confidence :luck:
