johns big mut STORM has been asked about recently so heres a guide to whats happening. he still gets his blood sample taken every other friday and if the white-cell count is ok the following friday he gets chemo. poor lads been at the vet every week for almost a full year now since diagnosis.
he has continued to do well despite the other dogs at the vet with cancer losing their fight. gutting for the owners. Storm hasnt had it all his own way as recently a "fine needle aspirate" taken from his liver and kidneys confirmed a protein lososing nephropathy and also renal tubule damage. so an appointment was arranged to go back to the specialist to ascertain if this is cancer related or an entirely different thing. another needle "Cedarmount vet". the vet needed to check his blood pressure but it was a bit higher than he wanted it to be so job stopped. yet more tablets again for Storm to reduce the pressure then back tomorrow for the same thing again...followed by chemo at his own vet "Gortlands" in the afternoon.
despite all this the big lad takes it in his stride. his stamina is building and hes started to gain fitness of a sort, but hey..hes still here !
here he is from early today when john had the "terrible3" out !
himself and daughter-in-law
then a clip of vid of him chasing China, she just coasts along keeping him tagging along.
john has asked me to thank the people who have shown genuine concern.
