How upsetting for both of you :( at least you acted quickly and got him to the vets asap! Hopefully there is no fracture and it is just bruising, the arnica gel is great and the arnica tablets are super too. I got mine in the local health food shop, though I am sure that most chemists sell them too.

He really could'nt have been kicked by a worse sized horse...that's gotta be one of the biggest breeds and I am sure they can really pack a punch as such.Sending him lots of :huggles: and I hope he recovers quickly and is'nt in too much pain poor lad. :huggles: :huggles:

:( Poor Blue - hope he is on the mend very soon :luck: :huggles:

How is he now Nicky, poor little sod

Poor Blue, I bet he's hurting. I know that awful sick feeling, you must have felt really panicky all the way to the vets. Hope you didn't have too far to drive. Well done getting him there so quick, especially having two other dogs with you. As the vet says just keep your eye on him for any odd signs. All being well he will soon be feeling much better. :huggles:

blue seems much better me and him cwtched up on the safa and fell asleep :b the swelling is only a little and hes gor bruiesing around his eye i think he got of very lightly ,as it looked like hell of a wack of the horse and he was stagggereing around and very unsteady on his feet luckily we wernt far from home and the vets is at end of street ,i was expecting alot more swelling ,so im hoping thers no broken bones ,i would imagine ther would be more swelling if ther was ,somone correct me if im wrong :b BLUE SAYS THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR HIS CWTCHES AND SEXY MAMMA YOUVE LIGHTENED UP HIS DAY

:huggles: Hope Blue is ok Nicky. :huggles: :luck: Good Luck when he goes to the vets.

dont think you would get a lot of swelling nicky on the face cause theirs not much tissue only a little before the bone,he could get the most around the eyes ,nose and mouth where theres a little more tissue under the skin.

hope ive made sense :b

Heres a pic not very good im afraid he didnt want me touching ....
