Poor Blue! :( Hope he's on the mend and escaped serious injury. :luck: :luck: :huggles:

Poor chap. He sort of had a lucky escape....he's got a very sore eye poor chap :( ....but thank goodness he didn't get a cracked skull. :sweating:

poor lad, how awful, you know how sick you feel when they have a little knock so I can appreciate what you felt and they look so helpless when they're injured, but it's amazing how we get the strength from within.

:huggles: very gentle ones ! to Blue and get a strong cuppa down you, hope it's only a bruise and his painkillers let him heal up :huggles:

when Ella's leg was ripped open I was brave in front of my daughter, first day back to school in Sept, but as soon as she was out of sight in her new class I burst into tears and the other mums thought I was being emotional about my child, but it was worry about my 'other baby' :b :- "

hope you both get a good nights sleep.

 good on Ollie and Tia for being well behaved when needed.

ouch that must hurt

Poor blue hope he recovers well, :luck: :luck:

Just read this topic Nicky - what a shock, poor Blue. Still I'm sure lots of love from his Mummy and he'll be fine :)

Kerri sends kissed and bum flicks to make him feel better because she's a flirt

That is awful ~ Poor Lad. Getting kicked by such a massive horse is scary. Fingers and paws crossed for you both. I got kicked in the face by a horse as a teenager, it is horrendous.

Cuddles from me.

Oh bless him, he's got a black eye! :luck: for a speedy recovery

OMG Nicky :( Poor little Blue - that is truly one of my worst fears as I keep nutty, lunatic thoroughbred horses that are always running round and lashing out in dangerous fashion. I keep the whippies in when the horses are in the field.

It sounds and looks like Blue has been very lucky and escaped with a glancing blow rather than a direct hit - looks like the horse may not have had shoes on as the damage would have been much worse otherwise (w00t)

You are bloody amazing Nicky  Well done for carrying him back and getting him to the vet so quickly!!

Sending loads of hugs for Blue (and Ollie & Tia too) :huggles: :huggles: :huggles: :huggles: :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

GET WELL SOON BLUE

:( Aww I'm so sorry to hear about his accident.

I have my fingers crossed for you that there are no fractures! :(

As for carrying the poor baby back to the car, it's strange how strength comes out of no where!

xXx

Poor Blue :(

But lucky too, I suppose- I kick from a huge Shire hoof could have done so much more damage

Hope he is feeling better and less sore soon :huggles:

Liz and the Monellis

Only just been back on here. Sorry Nicky, I should have said, you can get Arnica in tablet form from the chemist. Glad to hear that Blue is feeling better. The girls here send him kisses now that he isn't so bruised. :huggles:

 How awful. I hope he's feeling better today. Bless him, he must have had a major headache after that. One of my late whippets was also kicked on the head by a horse about 13 years ago. He was fine (after a visit to the vet obviously), but was left with a permanent dent on his head  Give Blue a gentle hug and a kiss from me xx

:( Poor lad. Hope it heals and he's back to normal very very soon :luck: :luck:

hows young blue doing this morning nicky :huggles:

aww thanks everyone for your kind words and concern and for the lovely pms :huggles: well me and blue slept on the sofa last night and he had a good night woke once to go out for a pee but seemed comfortable ,got up this morning and he seemed like he was in a bit of pain as he kept rubbing his paw over by his eye area so i gave him more pain killer ,and he seemed to settle after half hour just got bk from vets and ther very pleased with him and said he seems fine and doesnt seem to be anything outa place apart from little bump on his face and he was probably sore around his eye area and to keep giving him the pain relief and to take him back on tuesday for a check up :sweating: he was very alert in the vets barking his head of at some big furry dog  and seemed his old self :huggles: and as somone stated in earlyer post he was lucky the horse didnt have shoes on or it could have been alot worst ,so that will be a lesson learn by me that no matter how well your dogs behave around live stock you still can never be to carfull and i will make shure in future that we give them a very wide berth
