Breanna is also an Eng Ch isn't she?

Just got back from the show, 2nd and third. I thought the judging was ok, Edith judged pretty much the same as before. I did like the DCC (as a puppy)but was very surprised at this result, he looked so raw and his movement was all over the place. Most of the dogs looked a bit poor because the wind was so cold and showers frequent.

The Tradewind bitch looked fabulous, such effortless flowing movement.

But well done to all. Lyds dog looked nice, one of the better movers, perhaps he didnt mind the cold :sweating:

I don't often post on this board but do read the posts when I can. I have to disagree with you Karen when you say the dogs looked a bit poor to-day. I had a dog entered and watched the Judging there was a lot of lovely dogs to-day. The judging was done under canvas so the rain and wind did not pose a problem.

Good win for John Mc, jnr.

That show is out of the road. What's going to happen at Blackpool?

Just for we colonials. Is there a difference ??????

Congratulations to all the winners

Martine, In the dogs especially, movement was NOT as good as it was say, at Sothern Counties or Bath. I was not at all implying that the dogs entered were not quality dogs, we know they were. We had a VERY small ring on a hill with a pole in the middle. (Yes, Cartman, he was on work expierence ;) ) For some classes the sun came out for others it was very cold and windy. Some of those boys need a bit more space to move out.

How did you do?

I'm sure you you know the answer to that question Whippowill.

No we did not do anything at yesterday found it hard to follow some of the judges decisions. But as the old saying goes it's the Judges decision on the day there is always the next show. Hopefully with a bigger ring and no poles!!!!!!!

If there's no difference then what's with you????? o:)

If she was exported back to Australia her rego would read Eng/Aust Ch.

Been in the dog world here since 1976 and never seen or heard of a dog rego reading Brit Ch. :- "

:D I managed to take photos of the DCC and RDCC winners that I will post later, if I ever wake up LOL -_-

England is only one of the Kingdoms that make up the 'United Kingdom' of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The others are Scotland and Wales. The populations of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales are much smaller than that of England, so many people are inclined to refer to the whole caboodle as 'England' It is rather like assuming a Kiwi is Australian or a Canadian is from the USA. Technically there is no such thing as an English Champion as our Kennel Club covers the whole of the UK (yes there is an SKC and a WKC, but they don't award CCs!) :D

Interesting that you should say that there is technically there is no such thing. And I take your point about the other kingdoms being part of the UK. But I'm sure registration papers issued in Aust. still say Eng Ch. Perhaps Gajo might enlighten us a little further as he has offspring of a Aust/NZ & Eng Ch.

I might add that the title Eng Ch is something that is greatly admired and respected here. Seems a pity if it doesn't really exist.

I hope that the Kiwi's & Canadian's aren't offended as they have their own Kennel Club and their own national identity.
