Tam got his jab's this morning and not a peep out of him. He is doing fine :D he is 6lbs 7oz. He sound asleep just now

Rosalind, pics of Byron are great, its funny to look at them because when you cant see the chest, you cant tell the diff between Byron and Codie, Identical twins eh. How has he been, :luck: no more seizures i hope :luck: .

GOOD LUCK AT THE VETS TODAY !!! :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck:

Jill, so little Toby is a screamer, ah not to worry its over quick, its the microchip, I think will be a diff story with Codie( Hitler, still checking lol), its a mighty big needle.

Dougie, what are you like,,,,,,,LOL.

Codie is sleeping at the mo, just had him out in the car for an hour, he will need to get used to it with us, mad campers wee are, and he was great, cried a little at first, but I think that was his harness more than being in the car, but after 10 mins he just laid down, and yes you guessed it, went to sleep.

I will take some pics when he wakes up and post them.

Take Care All

Gavin.

Gavin, I dont know much about Puppies testicles, but today Toby has two showing !!!!! Maybe they just jiggle about in the begining !!!!!!

Off to the vets shortly with Macey, but Im sure she wont be a wimp like her little bro (w00t)

:D Good news Jill, I will keep checking Codie, just trying to make sure i dont squeeze to hard  (w00t) :b  :x

Byron went to the vets' this morning- and apparently he was a right wimp! (Mum took him, as I wasn't feeling too good.)

He had his first jab, and was wormed and microchipped. Mum says he squealed and squirmed throughout!

The vet also gave him a thorough check-up, (yes, he has two!), and everything is normal, apart from the problem with seizures. He weighs 6½ pounds!

Since I last posted here on K9, Byron has had several "turns" in addition to the two seizures with convulsions he had previously. He has episodes where he suddenly goes unconscious, with his eyes rolled back in his head (as with the seizures) and his body just goes floppy and lifeless for a couple of minutes at a time, but this time without convulsions. He went unconscious four times in four hours last night, and he had a couple more episodes today. A couple of times he has started choking while unconscious. (I say "choking", as that's the only word that I can think of to describe it, but he is unconscious throughout.)

The vet has taken note of the fits and blackouts, but says it is too early to make any conclusive diagnosis, and they may fizzle out as he gets older. At the moment, the vet doesn't think it is epilepsy.

On the way back from the vets' surgery, Mum took Byron to see a friend of hers- which went well until the woman's husband had an epileptic seizure and smashed a glass coffee table. (He wasn't hurt, thankfully.) I'm starting to think Byron is a bit of a seizure-magnet, as I've also been getting really twitchy! (I have non-epileptic seizures myself.)

There was a definite change in Clara's demeanour today. As I'd mentioned in a previous post, Clara was a bit resentful of Byron, and she growled if he even approached her. Well I don't know what changed, but Clara was much happier today, with Byron and with me, and I got slobbered all over several times! Clara didn't growl when Byron went up to her, and even let him sleep next to her and have cuddles with her. I think she's gradually warming to the idea of being one of three whippets in the house! Daisy was a little bit cooler with Byron today, so the dynamics between Daisy, Clara and Byron are shifting daily- the vet assures me this is normal and to be expected.

Gavin- you are dead right about Byron and Codie- I have some photos of the puppies together in their first weeks, and I honestly can't tell the difference most of the time!

Here's another photo of Byron... (sleeping again!) I'm so proud of my little man!

They really are identical, I was still having to look at their chests up to the day they went !!!!
Im really sorry to hear that Byron is still fiting, lets keep are fingers crossed its only temporary :(

Macey went for her first jab yesterday and was met by her new Mum and Dad  She was nervous but very brave and hardly new she was getting the injection, I think it was all the support she got  She was great in the car, and back to her normal Racey Macey self when we got home !!!

:D

Morning all. well what can I say Codie is doing really well, still not sleeping the whole night, "wolf howling" starts about 5:30 - 6 am but I know this will change when I start getting him out for walks during the day instead of him sleeping most off the time.

Rosalind  Glad to hear Byron has got 2 ,,,,,,

So his fits are not as bad as the seizures, hopefully that is a good sign that they are going to get better and beter, then hopefully stop. we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Jill, glad to hear Macey was good at the vet, nothing worse than when they have a hard time and you feel rotten for them. Would have been good for her to meet new Mum & Dad, keep the scent, having sead that you will have had her so long it will be harder to give her away .

Well Codie is still in the Hitler fan club, but will kep checking, here is a couple of snaps of him this morning.

I think this ball is a bit to big,

He looks great Gavin, 5:30 - 6am is good, Molly has her Mum up at 3am, then 6am !!!! The three amigos sleep till 6:30 normaly, but thats when I get up to play with them anyway, but I think they might find it different when they arent all snuggled up together, they are having such fun with Buffy, she's playing tug of war and wrestling with them, and even Jack is showing his face again, Tank follows him everywhere, its going to be even harder when Macey and Tank go, having spent more time with them !! :( But I am looking forward to spending quality time with Toby toes !!!!

They have all been having 'sit' training the last few days, which is going quite well, but manic with three all together !!

Jill they are all looking great, Glad to hear Jack aint getting such a hard time now.

Well progress, put Codie to bed at 12 last night, not a peep, :D I woke up at 3 still silence :D :D , then I woke up at 7 still silence :D :D :D , so I went down to make sure he was ok, (ye I know ,, plonker,,,) and there he was sleeping in the most uncomfy position, so hopefully we are over that stage.

More lead training today, I will post some pics later.

Here are a couple of him today, including the strange sleeping position, big bed, Codie cramed into small corner

well we didnt think we would be posting on here again until we came home from crufts/cheltenham but that was not to be,so to cheer us up we have decided to go and get tank today,we are going for him between 5 and 6 o'clock so i am crossing my fingers that nothing else goes wrong! what with the car troubles and lucy tearing her shoulder muscle it has been one crappy weekend for us-the only good side is that we can see our dogs now-we felt crap leaving them anyway,so although i am dreading the repair bill i am kind of glad we can get our dogs home and finaly go and get tank.

I will let you all know if we get him ok without anymore disasters happening.

 Dougie & Liz
