Breath in Buzz" :sweating: Food for thought, what do we do with the dogs that wont fit in, as anybody thought of that?Maybe some of the lads and lasses only like bend racing,like some people only like straight racing.I personally have no objection with people who just want to straight race,or just want to bend race!

What I don't understand is if you've got a dog to race then it goes without saying(in my opinion) that you want to race and if your dogs good enough beat the best dogs racing.Grahams Magical Dreams has been without question the best No Limit on the bends.If this rule comes into force then correct me if i'm wrong Graham wont Magical Dreams not be able to race in BWRA meetings.What i'm trying to say is what is the point in winning if you haven't raced the best dogs.Or is it a case of use whippet traps so you can win without racing the best dog.Puzzled :wacko: Karen

im not on about the point about the scratch traps im on about moaning in general its funny to laugh at no matter whom it concerns.personally i think its mad for someone to cart whippet traps up and down the country, and whos going to do it, come on its hard enough now to get a trapman and 2 bleeding judges for goodness sake!!

IF BWRA YOU THEIR BRAINS FOR ONCE IT WONT HAPPEN FLETCH,BUT HEY WHO CARES THERES ALWAYS FLAPPING,WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE SMALLER DOGS IF THEIR OWNERS ALSO HAVE SCRATCH DOGS AND DECIDE TO PACK IN.

I was talking to Tony Cooper about another matter and this was not mentioned but he did tell me that he had mated his and Malcolm's 70 odd lb bitch greyhound to a whippet. If this is the case wouldn't it be ironic if they all turned out too big to fit in the traps! If this does go ahead I for one will boycot the meeting they bring the traps to in protest. Anybody who feels the same pm me and I will print them all out and send them to the BWRA. If we get enough people to do this surley they woud have to reconsider. So all you people out there who have just bred a litter out of a greyhound I suggest that you think seriously about the pups future as a racing dog. Looks like the BWRA are making the NWRF look even better..............3 cheers for the NWRF!!

For everyone's information all of my dogs would fit in the trap as I do not have a no limit dog at present but I still will refuse to run my dogs in support of others with bigger dogs.

Well said Gary, If its true about the whippet traps being used for scratch dogs when there is greyhound traps avaiblable you can count me in. both my scratch dogs come out of whippet traps

I have no bend dogs so this is just MO. If a dog ,no matter what size is registerd with the bwra. Then that dog is registerd for life and every effort should be made by the committee to ensure every registerd dog can race.
