the bwra committee have answered the topic started

Quote,

dont know how true it is unsure.gif but i hear they are using whippet traps for all races at bwra events on the bends including scratch anyone know how true it is blink.gif

so what more do you want,

--------------------

Your opinion regarding scratch dogs having to race out of whippet traps on the bends, are you for or against it.

As long as there is some common sense applied who cares what we race out of could be a cardboard box for all i care so long as all are same -- that is not the issue here as far as i can see ---more just to stop the breeding getting to the xxxxl size glad my mum never had these restrictions ---lol

1968 when the BWRA was formed a 32lb limit was set by the BWRA and we at the Lancaster club who were racing up lanes to the rag and not lure racing had to make the change in order to compete with the BWRA we had 50lb rough haired dogs and anything that could run was allowed to if it was fast enough--we lost a good few members then to get in line with the new rules ---we aint got very far in 39 years have we ---also i would have thought that with all the money that has been paid in membership/raffles- registrations ect -over those 39 years the BWRA would have thier own tracks by now -- both straight and bends -- bought and paid for!!!!!!with thier own sets of traps to run from without any arguing needed---food for thought!!!

steve

try these words--- enjoyment-fun--sportsmanship-tollerance--give and take-fairplay

do onto others as you would like them to do onto you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This matters been sorted now maybe the advert had been put in whippet news before the committee changed there minds

Lets hope we all have a great championships :luck: everybody ...should be some fantastic racing ..

I don't know which is worse in this saga; The BWRA committee resurecting an old rule that had fallen into disregard as unworkable in a backdoor attempt to prevent certain dogs running or the BWRA committee deciding to ignore it's own rules as voted in by the majority just to please a tiny minority of it's membership. All without any consultation of the membership or the reps and most likely without consulting most of the committee.

Have to agree that i think it should of been discussed with there members...or even postal vote on the last proposal forms

But i don't see why they would want to take 2 sets of traps about the country when theres traps there

another point if the bwra went to a ngrc track they might not allow imported traps on the tracks. ngrc are very strict and not to be crossed (w00t)

If these big lads can get inside one, I'm sure the scratch dogs will :D

It has come to the attention of some very astute whippet people, that members of the B.W.R.A. committee are dying on the job and not falling down -_- .

This practise must be stopped as it becomes impossible to distinguish between death and natural movement of the committee  .

Any committee member found dead in an upright position will be removed from office :D . Cheers Mick.

karen, No Harvey's far to good for the rubbish bin would never put any dog in that  but could think of some owner that would fit nicely and would suit it  :)

karen get a patent on your trap ,you will make a fortune (w00t) so thats how you got fluke to trap so well the secret out

WELL IV BEEN TO SOME HANDICAPS WHERE PEOPLE WILL NOT RACE THERE 18LD WITH 32LDS BECAUSE OF THE CHANCE OF THERE SMALL DOG/BITCH GETTIN INJURED AFTER THE LINE.

Ohhh look what this owner has done to the new trap Karen ...she had a real problem trying to get into it

Shame really after all the hard work Steve and Don's put in exploring the local skips :D
