Woof, my name is Doris Turner and I am going to document my life from here onwards. I’m an 8 week old Miniature Schnauzer. Today I am a lonely puppy, my brothers Fudge, Ollie and Samson have gone to there forever homes :( I have been taught sit, I am trying to learn paw but it’s a lot harder than putting my bum on the floor ;) I really want my mummy’s food but I’m not allowed because my human mum won’t let me it’s apparently not as tasty as the puppy food, but how does she know? I have a vet’s appointment on Wednesday and I’m worried of what the appointment will hold, I know I need a microchip will this hurt me? My human mum said she will buy me some more treats and I can’t wait! :)

‘Give me paw’ Okay mum! I can give paw thanks human mum for teaching it me! I also want to say yippee I have been so excited because I have some news, I have been told that fudge may be coming home but were not 100% sure yet we are having a meeting and the humans will discuss it then. Also I have been loving the peace and quiet, but all I want to do is eat my new fluffy bed and my human’s feet :). I have a pretty collar with a bow I look so gorgeous all the male dogs stair at me on the streets ;). I really want more dog treats but I don’t think I’m allowed them because they make you fat :( At night I love to keep my mum, human mum and human dad awake at night but I really want to be on their bed it looks so warm and cosy. One thing I have noticed is my food is going harder and harder why? I miss my porridge type of food. Night sleep well my doggie friends! Woof... :)

Woof! I am not lonely, Samson is now back home with us and I’m delighted. The humans had a meeting with fudges owners and they are keeping him. I had my vaccinations yesterday, they hurt a little but I’m fine now. The new vets are amazing, they give you treats and a cute puppy booklet with my name on and picture :)

You must be pleased to have Samson to play with! Harri loves his vet too - he always gets treats and cuddles.

Woof awlll! I have had a brilliant day. I went on my first walk and I had a parcel from Wagg dog treats and I woove them, my mummy says I can have my first bone soon :). Also I love my brother being back but my human mummy says he is having to go to his new home next week on Sunday (still negotiable.) Also I really want to eat my mummy’s skirting boards but she has blocked them off with a pen why? My teeth really really hurt :( Can I ask for any good toys for this pain? Well I want to finish watching Emmerdale with my mummy and then Coronation Street so bye for now enjoy your night! :)

The first teeth should be through and as far as i know the adult teeth shouldn't be expected for another few weeks. If she has a sore mouth you might want to get that checked.

Okay but her back molar has only just pierced through so would you suggest a trip to the vets?

I would say use your judgement. It's at the very outside edge of first teeth emerging but if you are sure that's all it is, fair enough.

My brothers potential owners are coming tomorrow... Also because its mothers day tomorrow I have bought mummy a toy and some treats, I was allowed in the shop on the floor it smelt weird and of other doggies! Well I'm feeling a bit sleepy *yawn* night - Doris

The puppies are 8 weeks of age they should all have been microchipped by you by 8 weeks of age and before leaving for their new homes!!

    Compulsory Micro chipping

    Overview

It is now mandatory throughout the United Kingdom for all dog owners to have their dogs microchipped and recorded with a government compliant microchip database such as Petlog.

Dog breeders, meanwhile, must ensure that puppies are microchipped and recorded by the time they are eight weeks old and before they are sold.

When a dog is transferred, the new owner’s (keeper’s) details must be added to the database. Moreover, if an owner moves home or changes telephone number, these details should be updated. Failure to keep these details up to date means that, in the eyes of the law, the dog is no longer considered microchipped and a fine can apply.

    Key facts
    • All dogs in the UK must be microchipped
    • Puppies must be microchipped by 8 weeks
    • Breeders will be responsible for microchipping and must be recorded as the first keeper
    • The recorded keepers (where the dog resides) MUST keep contact details up to date on a government compliant database
    • Full guidance can be found here (there are varying regulations in Wales and Scotland).
    • All dogs must still wear an ID tag
Here’s some helpful guidance and advice on compulsory microchipping
    Advice for breeders
If you are a breeder in the UK, you must ensure that all puppies are microchipped and recorded on a government compliant database by the time they are eight weeks old and before they go to the new owner. It’s essential that you, rather than the puppy buyer, are the first recorded keeper on the database

We have given the puppies away rather than selling them. We haven't microchipped them on porpoise

You're still the breeder, and they still should have been done by 8 weeks though. Giving them away won't change that.
