Hello everyone :thumbsup:

Despite only having 20 dogs, we had a splendid day in the fens and in fine and sunny conditions which made a pleasant change.

There was some excellent coursing and some close finishes to focus the judge's eye. :ph34r:

The winner was Sarah Toller's CUPIDS ARROW

This dog really is something else (w00t) having NEVER BEEN BEATEN.

He answers to the name OZZY.

Ozzy contested the final with Sarah Layfield's WINTERFELL TINKERBELLE. In my view, it was close and made for a fitting finale with two dogs closely matched. As it should be. :)

The purse was won by Andy and Lesley Smith's CRACKLING BEAUTY aka SPRY :*

Spry ran a good final with her sister HOT AMBER BELLE finishing as runner up to her :thumbsup:

The plate was won by Trish and Graham Gilfeathers LYNPERRY EAST WIND from Trish and Graham's other entrant NORTHERN MOONBEAM :thumbsup:

Many thanks to everyone who attended to make the day what it was, a resounding success. Special welldone to the northern contingent and to Jayne Harper who made the journey from Oxford with her single dog DRAPERSLOCK BLOWALONG who had some great runs and accounted for my HENRIETTA in round one.

ANDREA BARR won the champagne for her bitch BANATAY BUBBLES who won the best course of the day :cheers:

The next Open, I believe, will be 9 November at the same venue.

You are all of course invited and full details wil be posted in due course. :thumbsup:

what a good day it was ,all the dogs did really well despite the heat,so a big well done to all the runners and congratulations to the winners and runners up :thumbsup:

oh and thanks annsa and shelly for been such a good laugh all day (w00t)

now im off to put some cream on my sunburn (w00t)

well done everyone ,a great days sport had by all .the whips all ran well in the heat.i think the next one is the 8th lampy (w00t) .well done the yorkshire dogs.they did us proud :thumbsup:

I'm burnt as well and i normally tan not burn :angry:
