Been to Bristol Zoo, our children were fantastic, such a pleasure to take out, really proud of them

 

...as for some of the adults well thats a different matter....

 

The Zoo though is a bit of a sad place, too small. the Gorilla looked positively suicidal

Glad the kids behaved themselves.....i have to say im not a big fan of zoo's...i know some them have good breeding programmes though...poor gorilla...you should have smuggled him out Clair

He was humungus Hely, he was just sat there, thought he was a model one then he blinked and slowly leant over on to the wall

we used to have a zoo in poole park but it got closed cos of neglect to animals always remember going as a kid with my mum and couldnt wait to see the myner birds.. they were a scream!! they had the most foul mouths you ever heard cos everyone used to teach them to swear

I'm fine thank you Hely.

 

My daughter sent me a text the other day saying that she'd been to Didcot and it had rained.

She says it rains EVERY time she goes to Didcot.

So I thought, Hely - if you bunged me a few quid - I could persuade her NOT to go to Didcot - and you wouldn't get any rain.

Anyway the good news is she's coming home tomorrow for a long weekend so you should have sunshine for the Bank Holiday!

Been stuck in all day Hannah isn't well had this cold/cough now for nearly 2 weeks taking her the the quacks tomorrow,

clair if you think the zoo's are bad here go and see the ones in spain, cried me eyes out at their living conditions poor animals

I'm not saying it is awful, but just not good enough to be in Britain, Spanish have a bit of a reputation for not giving a stuff about animals!

Yes Clair - it can be done well can't it - in some places the animals look perfectly contented and well looked after.
