Fred was booked in for his corn removal operation today. I dropped him off first thing to his new vet (bit of a distance but worth it!), and with a few hours to kill, I decided to take Stan for a walk in the dales nearby (wasn't worth driving back home).

I only took my little compact camera, ...thought it would be a bit of a distraction for me.

Fred pre- op

The start of our walk....we weren't the first out today :- "

Stan finds it hard to walk in a straight line.. :blink:

Dropping into the dale...

There was loads of wild garlic about...yum

We dropped into one of the villages en route to see a well dressing....

Finally arriving back at the start of the walk....the final stile..

He still can't manage a straight line :wacko:

Waiting for that phone call from the vets... :sweating:

Was told to wait another two hours before picking Fred up...all went well :sweating:

Killing some more time.....it was hell

Finally, I got Fred home. He's still a bit wobbly and tired...poor chap. Hopefully this op will have finally eradicated that nasty corn :angry:

Thanks everyone. :thumbsup: I've just had to carry Fred to the park entrance, as he's still very wobbly. He won't use our tiny patch of front garden to go to the loo. I've bought him a little boot to protect his paw and dressings. Hopefully this should help for a while. He can't do the stairs yet either, but he should be better with his mobility soon. I don't think he'll manage the long walks anymore, as he's a bit wobbly with his back legs now too (an old age thing), but if he's pain free, then that's the main thing

It feels like quite hard work so far :sweating: Lesley, if you're reading this, I can really appreciate the hard work you must be doing with Sienna. :thumbsup: :huggles:
