I have been watching this ad for ages and like you say the price has come down . Obviously the only thing she cares about is getting some money for her .

If she cared about the dog at all she would have contacted a whippet rescue who I'm sure would have helped . This is truly an evil thing she is doing and I too am appalled . If money contributions are any good I can donate to help this girl :(

That's really quite heartless isn't it? It's one thing to admit you don't have the right home for your dog anymore and to rehome, but to then try and sell it at those prices and to flag up that she's now in season is awful. Imagine the poor thing trying to settle into a new home and have the added burden of giving birth to pups in a strange environment, even kennels, if she falls into the wrong hands. Very worrying indeed. :(

Just had another look at that advert , started off £400 , then obviously no takers so the price was £250 . Now she is in season it's back up to £350 , I am furious beyond belief . That is one absolutely heartless person who has obviously never cared about the dog in its life .

I think you're right - the only way to get her out of there safely will be to pay for her - I'd also like to make a donation if you get the chance to put this plan into action

Latest news ..............

I spoke to the owner this afternoon and she seemed knowledgeable although rather unemotional about the little girlie.

I have arranged for Nicky to go and check her out and make sure it all seems genuine and we will try to buy her for a reasonable price.

Apparently her mother was registered but the father (a racing whippet) was not. She is about 19" and around two and half years old although her exact date of birth isn't known

She is pure bred but, quote ...... "everyone round here buys and sells without papers, nobody is bothered about it"

The owner never asked me any questions about my situation, although I gave her enough information anyway, but if you care about your dog surely you question why someone wants her and where she is going???

If all goes well when Nicky visits, we will buy her and I will go up and fetch her next week. She can stay with me until I can find her a lovely, safe forever home with someone who will adore her for life  I am more than willing to deliver her to a new home in due course :)

I have too many now to have another myself, but I can certainly foster her until the right home comes up. I am quite prepared to have her speyed too so that she is safely out of the breeding arena!

Thank you everybody for all the kind offers of help ........ you are all a TRULY AMAZING LOT OF LOVELY, LOVELY PEOPLE :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:
