I'm so sorry for your loss :(

I hope that Tarka makes a full recovery :huggles:

So glad Tarka is home where he belongs. :huggles: I'm sure it will help you all having him back. He's definitely a 'Super Dog'! I hope he continues to recover well. Hearing about the coats has made me want to cry too. How traumatic that must have been for you, having them arrive today. :( Thinking of you all, and especially your husband, at this sad time. :huggles:

I'm so glad that Super Tarka is back home & on the mend :))

Take each day at a time, some will be better than others & at times it will be one step forwards & about 6 back but it will eventually start to feel less raw.

All the best, :huggles:

Hi,

Just wondering how Tarka was today, hope you are all ok. I can't stop thinking about you all at the moment. All the best and let us know how all is.

All our love

Sarah and Family :luck: :luck:

Tarka has had a very restful day and hasn't shown much inclination to get up at all. He is very shaky on his back legs and cannot find a way to sit down properly as yet. (The morphine patch won't be helping I think)

He slept with me last night as I didn't want to leave him alone. We spent most of the night awake with me stroking him as he was having little nightmares and occasionally whining. I just kept thinking how lucky I am to have one of my beloved whippets back home.

Today he has had 4 of his whippet/lurcher pals around to visit briefly. I think he was pleased to see them although he did go to his crate for a rest.

Bertie, my Mum's whippet, seems confused that his best mate, Indigo is not around to play with. I think he will really miss her. They had the same mental age!

I haven't been able to take any photos as yet as he has been mainly in his crate today sleeping which is probably best.

We are moving house in 2 weeks to a house which has a bigger garden, one of the key reasons we were going was so that the dogs would be able to run about in a larger area. I will be glad to go as the house is full of memories of Indigo and it feels very empty still.

I know that when Tarka gets better he will enjoy the new garden as it has many sunbathing spots for him, one of his favourite past times!

:))

Glad to hear Tarka has had a restful day. Good luck with the house move :luck:

I am so sorry to hear of your tragedy. My whippet chewed thro my phone wire and I have been off line until today.

I hade a little whippet who was run over and had a similar injury but she did recover even though it took six months.

Her leg was always shorter but she ran and played and did everything she did before her accident so please dont despair your whippy will to :))
