My poor little Rosie is at the vet.
She first went in yesterday morning as she was very subdued and didn't want to move. She had a temperature of 103.
The vet gave her a temp lowering injection and put her onto antibiotics. She rallied a little yesterday but this morning she was worse.
She has been eating normally but over the last 24 hours it has beome apparent that she finds it difficult to chew and this morning she seemed stiff all over and in extreme discomfort. She has now gone to have bloods done and some IV rehydration, as her temperature is still 103 and she is burning up
If the bloods show an absence of infection, I can only suppose that my precious little girl may have meningitis. I am totally distraught about this and really don't know how to handle it. She was so well one day and so poorly the next.
Please keep your fingers crossed for little Rosie and send us some positive thoughts .. I am waiting for the vet to call me later so until then I don't really know what is happening :'( :'( :'(
And thank you so much to Nicky, who was there at the end of the phone for me this morning with such good advice and experience of this with Tia xxxxxx
