Provisional date June 8th - this is just going to be a trial run to see how we go before we stage something a bit bigger.

Larry how does this fit with you?

I would love it ( and so would my little whippet) if you got something together in the Gloucestershire area as we love lure coursing :D but hate driving :(

Any day other than the 8th would you believe (Hugo and Debs have agreed to be in an obedience display at Bowood House that day. its a country fair and dogshow)

still i'm just one person,so if it fits with others that's my hard luck.

Hows the 6th of April  :)
All of us northerners are in a charity lure course on the 5th in County Durham.

But that doesnt stop you organising it for that day if everyone else can make it.

And some may come straight down to you after for the event.

Hope the dogs are up for that

see Hannah it's not that easy pleasing folk LOL.

Were up in Northumberland on the 5th doing the Coast2Coast charity meeting.

out lot realy wanted to come down and support any events you put on (and to offer help) but you sort a date out that suits your gang.

When I spoke to Rae yesterday, I got the impression that this was just to see how it all runs, and for the organisers to just literally practise a dry run. I didn't think it was actually an event?

I'm ready to stand corrected if I've got the wrong end of the stick o:)

TCx

What we're planning is to have a test run (6th April) to see how we get on setting up the course, if the field is OK for parking etc, with just a few of us there, and then we'll hold a bigger event once we're confident that we can pull it off. So for now 6th April (if that suits you Laurrie?) is just the test run - shame you cant make it Mark as I'm sure we could do with your help, you'll have to be on stand by by phone!

Thanks to everyone that has shown an interest, we hope to be able to return the hospitality, fun and sport that we enjoyed 'up north' and we'll do our best to find a date that suits everyone.

The local pub is happy to allow the dogs there, Cara (Ecksey on here) has 2 lurchers herself (who will probably be running on the day) so it should be a great weekend. :D
