Well, I'm going to disagree with you, John. I think you're wrong. It's not about being middle class or professionals or anything else to do with class  I doubt anyone in this situation would have been slammed with a neglect charge, and if you've got case histories to the contrary in Northern Ireland then I'd be interested to see them.stormydog said:jinx and rubys mum said:By law they are not allowed to use the money for defenceThe main mistake in my mind is that they left the children and they will have to live with that for the rest of their lives.
The Police dont seem to have handled it the way they would have over here and are maybe only realising that now.
When its too late to get the evidence they should have got in the first place.
Somethings not right but I dont think its the parents who are guilty or at least I hope not!!
what ? they should be bloody charged with neglect !!!! its happened in northern ireland umpteen times.
SAID IT BEFORE AND ILL SAY IT AGAIN IF THESE 2 PROFESSIONALS HADVE BEEN CHECK-OUT OPS IT WOULDVE BEEN A WHOLE DIFFERENT BALL-GAME
and if the child comes back i hope this charge is awaiting them.
john
Those parents are being punished for what they've done every minute of every day... and they will probably never forgive themselves for the rest of their lives.
I guess that's me excluded from the stormydog harem, then? :- "
