Glad she has arrived safely. Sounds like you have a houseful tonight.

Hope Beka is feeling better. I used to get migraines ( bloody hell for those who have never tried it!) :x

Thanks for keeping us up to date.

It's amazing how well she has settled :) What a laid back temperament she seems to have, bless her. She certainly looks at home having a good rest after her long journey

Aww what a sweetheart after all shes been through...shes absolutely amazing ..what a girl...

so pleased to see her after her journey.

Hope Beckas migraine is soon over, I know only too well what they are like...get them for days at a time some months...

feel better Becka :luck: youve done a great job...be proud .

Considering that the previous owner has been rather evasive when asked about the sire, are you planning to have her scanned to see how many she has and most importantly how big the pups are? :luck: :luck: :luck:

Molly will be seen by Jane's vet tomorrow and then we will proceed from there ... we are also concerned that the pups might be too big for her to whelp on her own and if this proves to be the case then Scruples will ensure that Molly gets all the veterinary help she needs  Don't worry, we really do have some very experienced whippet people advising us :)

Whippets are usually easy whelpers so she may be okay. It's a wait and see situation. I am sure Jane will take good care of her and will no doubt heave a sigh of relief when the puppies are born.

Hallo everyone :D

Thought you might like an update on Molly's first 24 hours in Jinnyfizzland at Scruples

After she had her dinner last night (she loves rabbit!!!) she crashed out on the sofa until it was time for a last wee/poo before bedtime. Becka stayed and once she was safely in bed with her Niisyf gang (4 of them) my lot went into their normal routine of going outside and then indoors to whichever bed, sofa or dog bed they choose to sleep in or on

Molly decided without hesitation that she wished to sleep with Jinny and me and so she spent last night sleeping by my side

She got up this morning and joined in with the morning walk around the fields and then had her breakfast - another chicken wing with some goats milk and scrambled egg to boot :D

For the rest of today she has been joining in with sunbathing in the garden, watching the other have some lure practice (Dawn and Rob came over with Benson, their home bred lad to introduce him to the lure today) and when Becka left around 4pm today, Molly wasn't stressed to see her go even thought it was obvious how attached she had become to Becka in a very short space of time.

This little girl gives her love totally unconditionally and is the most affectionate, calm and sensible whippet I have ever met - absolutely perfect.

She is going to my vet tomorrow for a scan/xray to check the size of the pups and her general health. The pups are moving around very actively but Molly doesn't seem to be stressed about it at all. What a dear little dog she is

Rest assured that Millymollymandy (as she is now affectionately known :D ) will be having the BEST veterinary treatment possible and no expense will be spared to ensure that the birth of her puppies is as easy and safe as possible for her. If a C section is necessary, it will be done.

Becka and Dawn have both taken huge amounts of pictures and, no doubt, they will be posting them on K9 in due course ........ Dawn and Rob only left around 5.30 so it will be a while before Dawn gets home and sorts through all the pics she is allowed to post :- ........ I did ask her very nicely not to post the ones of my backside   :teehee:

Sorry this update is rather late in coming ........ we have had an incredibly busy 24 hours but all is settling down now and we can await the puppies' arrival with fingers crossed

She must think she's in paradise

It always amazes me how some dogs from the worst backgrounds turn out to be nicest natured dogs. I think they are so grateful for any bit of kindness and attention.

Continued good thoughts for the lovely girl and her pups :luck:

Sounds like she has definately landed on her feet with you. I cant wait to hear how she get on at the vets tomorrow
