Haha I've lost count of the number of times I've sheepishly had to say 'no, really, it's normal for whippets....!' when mine do this in the presence of friends. If you don't know whippets you'd think they were soooo nasty when they start, it sounds and looks frightening to the uninitiated. They've also started doing it in public on the way back from walks. Will try to get pics of it in action.
