My dogs have fresh water inside and out... bit NO.... it just doesn't taste as good as the dirty rainwater collected in the bottom of the garden pots !! :lol:

my vet said to put a few bowls out to collect the rain water for the dogs and cat cause they prefer it :thumbsup: bet its better for them too :thumbsup:

:lol: same thing here - all on back legs trying to drink out of the water butt or plant pots. Vader rarely drinks in the house, he always manages to find a puddle or stream 8)

My friends had a Great Dane who refused to drink tap water, and always drank water outside. Makes you wonder how strong the smell of the chemicals in drinking water is to dogs :blink:

I am sure that rainwater is much nicer but I always have a worry that rats may have been in it and spread leptospirosis. We lost some pups once and the vet said that drinking water contaminated by rats was the likely cause.

When Ben was tiny I had an old pony who would only drink rain water we had a barrel outside his stable and used it to fill his bucket.I used to work with show ponies and the man who produced them for there owners would only give them rain water or fresh spring water to dring said it was better for their coats. We had a fresh water spring that came up in the corner of the yard
