Yes Trish, great service! but somehow does'nt surprise me, its obvious the AB'S

have kicked in and killed the infection  just got to make sure the gash

heals up ask them does it need a stitch!!

Any way Trish you will know whats best for the little girl, just those pics really got to me and her being so small :)) and all that big swelling!!

give her big hugs from me and Finbarr :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

looks as if it is healing up inside - less of a deep hole now - that's good - you still don't want it to close up quite yet

:huggles: for phoebs

i dont know much at all about doggy wounds but from the very first pic of it to this one it looks far better to me, try if possible putting the 2 photos together so you can compare and im sure you will see a difference 2

:)

hope shes feeling better now trish ,do you now how long metacam can be kept for as i had some for blue when he got kicked in the face by that horse i was guna chuck whats left out but would be handy to keep if itl keep a while :)

Hi Trish,

Well, the wound certainly seems clean and maybe not so red but on looking at the pictures i can't help feeling it needs a stitch!!! but someone here has said you would'nt want it to close up to quick, that i don't understand but maybe they know something i don't!!!

I think its back to the vet to see what they now think

Hugs for the little girl :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

it wasnt a abcess patrick ,it was a small piece of grass that had punctured under her tongue, then migrated down and out of her throat.

but i agree it will remain open until the infections cleared inside

Yes i understand not stitching a a burst abcess ,let the air get to it and it will heal ,but this was not a burst abcess and the wound looks quite large!! but the infection is clearing and shes on the right road
