This is Gem.
She is my retired hunter. We have done her best to get her sound and I don't think it'll happen. She is going to a lovely home with a vet who lives about 10 mins away so I can still visit her. She is going to be a wet nurse to throughbred babies, which'll be great as she looooooooooooves babies. To do this she has to have a baby, which I'll get to keep YAY. The only thing is that I have to choose an AI stallion to use and I'd like some advice.
Gem is 17hh, she is a Selle Francais and was a Grade C show jumper. She was also the most fanastic hunter I have ever had a day on. She has a wonderful temperament, really cuddly and safe, but fun to ride. She was also one of the most uncomfortable horses I have ridden and her flat work left rather a lot to be desired.
I'd like to try to produce a large (16.3h or over) all rounder that can do a bit of dressage and hunting with an equally good temperament.
Do any of you have any recomendations?
