When you clean up your garden how do you dispose of it.

We had been putting it behind a bush, but bush is looking smaller having lost it's leaves over the winter, so can see the poo pile behind it.

Was wondering if there was a better way of getting rid of it.

where quite lucky we have a doggy bin on the park opposite to where we live so we collect it up and pop over the road with it

i get yellow pet waste bags from my local authoritys rubbish dump,

all i do is bag evrything up and put it in the large pet waste bag then tie and dump at the tip for them to dispose of properly

I applaud you for trying to let it decompose naturally, but it does take a long time, and it will attract flies in the summer I would imagine.

I wonder if there is anyway the decomposition process can be assited, rather than having to chuck it away in plastic bags to rot for a hundred years in a landfill site? Worth investigating.

Failing that...do you have a man hole cover in your garden? Just chuck it down there and let the sewage works do the rest :- "

By the way I'm a complete hypocrite because mine poo in the local park, and I pick it up in a plastic bags and dispose of it in the park bins. I'm not proud of myself, but my two refuse to go in our garden 'cos it's too small and I can't let them wander out freely to do their business.

We do have poo bins in a near by playing field, but it's too far to walk with bags everyday!!

Hmm, the manhole cover is a good thought!! :- "

My mum puts her dog poo in her hedge at the bottom of the garden, but we don't have a hedge, just a wall with bushes. And the garden is small, so like you said I am thinking of the smell and flies in the summer.

Maybe I will dig a hole.

Maybe I can train him to go in the hole?

I'm thinking of trying one of these out Dog Poo Composter

at the minute I bag it and put it in my dustbin - but that uses up an awful lot of polythene which I'd rather not!

Hi, we collect it in a bucket with disinfectant., when it's full we put it down our soak away, it's like a cess pit but doesn't need emptying!

We are very lucky, we have a drain cover for the human toilet in our garden, great.

hi i put mine down the manhole in the garden the one that take waste then flush toilet couple of times had no blockages

I'm lucky cos I just chuck it on the muck trailer with the horse poo :) and we don't have to pick up out on walks because we're on farmland and forestry

But.... in the past I have bagged it up in plastic carriers and put it out with the rubbish and also flushed it down the loo (my mum used to do that with the cat's waste when I was a kid  )

Great idea to use a manhole to the sewage drain if you've got one in your garden
