Sorry Shona, but I couldn't post this and not include Eric now could I 8)

I have voted for Asher on the basis that the T in Taran sounds too much like Tyg and Ash is a good sound for name recognition
It's worse than that ... we also have dachsie Tolly, hubby Ted, and son Tom !

I named Izzy the day she was born and Shona used the name during her first 8 weeks of life so she came to me with perfect recall to her name!!! I expect Sooty knows his name too so the "esssss" sound in Ash will go part way to help him change from Sssssssssooty to Asssssssssh
I was thinking that the T in Taran would sound like the T in SooTy

Good luck with the wee lad, Annie :luck: You have a very special pup there
I know :D

Thats right Shona put your foot down

I had a Chinchilla called Asher i called him that because i brought

him out of the money i saved when i quit smoking.

I do like Taran its different but i think its a bit of a mouthful to be

calling.

Oh you lucky person Annie, another whippet in your house.... :D

The horse I'm riding on my Facebook profile pic is called Ash ...short for Razash but I like the name Taran best for your puppy.

Hi, I have voted for Taran- gorgeous name for a gorgeous pup  I also love Eves suggestion of Tarn.

Slightly worried to discover that Taran was what the Russians called arial dogfights yikes.gif in WW2 ...

Annie

I think you should ahve put darcy on the short list our darcey is a babe and so well behaved didnt know it ment dark though i jst like the name and had it picked before she was born lucky she was black then lol

i like eric :b

sorry but u think its kinda cool,

would have never thought to name a dog eric, but when i read down the list, it sound quite good and i think it would suit him :b

what ever he ends up, hes lovley, congratulations on your new arrivel :huggles:

PERCY

but if not

I do like Eric and it could always be Eric with a K - ERIK which is Norwegian although every time you called him you would have to call the whole thing 'Erik with a K' so everyone knew it was Norwegian and not just English but no problems there me thinks.

This little one was going to be Percy but she didn't have the right equipment so she's a Gracie.
