sorry for sounding thick but why can you not just ban that person or at least warn them it seems a shame to change it after all the hard work thats gone into changing it

im guessing cause theres nothing to stop anyone profile surfing. if that is all the person is doing looking at profiles then its not like against the rules or anything.

if on the other hand they are sending messages or posting nasty comments then i would assume/hope if you forwarded them to nigel and judy then they would be warned or banned. :b

Right speaking as a member who has had problems

with this............

 

Why should i have to turn this option off, i am entitled

to have my friends pop in and leave messages the same

as everyone else. In fact it's a nice way of keeping in

touch. Maybe the option should be taken away from

East to say Ann but unfortunately the software doesn't allow us to do that on a selective basis. There are rules that all posters must abide by and the rules will be updated to incorporate the added functionality of the new 'Personal Profile' viewer soon.

I think the rules are quite clear on what action is taken on users who disrupt K9 community. You will have to report it to us though or we won't know about it.

I think what I and I am guessing from the comments of others that the person who is using this new option, shall we say strangely, has surely broken so many k9 rules in the past couple of weeks, that they shouldn't even be a member anymore - abusive PM's, constant rule breaking. And if this were the case then I don't think we would be having this conversation.

Let's face it there are others who have been banned for far less.

I don't think here is the place to discuss this. The rules are clear & members breaking the rules will be dealt with according to them. I can assure you no one has been banned for less.

Rachel, if you have been getting abusive PMs, send them on to us. We can't do anything if you don't and we don't even know about them if you don't tell us. Anything like this should be reported privately by PM though and not on the public forums. Thanks. :thumbsup:

If you want to use your comment box like that then go to your Profile>Settings>New Comments>Enabled-Only When I Approve Them. That should fix the problem.
