Its a shame that a minority have to play silly games, i enjoyed my comments part where my friends left me messages but if it puts a stop to the nastiness then thats the way it has to be, i would just like to say thank you to whoever you are for being silly, and playing games

I think a poll would be good idea .

I liked people leaving nice comments for me and it was all a bit of harmless fun .

Lets face it who would put anything very private on their profile .

I have almost nothing on mine and anyone can look at it any time they like

I agree with having a poll :thumbsup: i also thought it was really nice having the comments box and i found that i made more friends from having that profile set up ) to me everyone seemed to be more friendly with that system. It's a shame that a small handful of people have to ruin it for the rest of us, so lets have a poll on it and see what we all think :thumbsup: Clare.

I Like the new profile and getting nice comments . Leave it like that as you can turn it off yourself if you are getting hassle from some one or better still name them if you know who it is . Pam

Okay, I see my thread has moved on and for some reason I can't see the first page, so that isn't helping me at the moment, especially as I can't vote!

Anyway, whilst I see the reason why you have done a poll to see what people want, I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone, so if and when I can vote I will say keep it in the new format as I have now been able to turn the profile view thing off. If however, this moves on to pming and leaving comments as has happened to others then I'll be back with a vengeance I'm sure. I too have enjoyed the comments section, it's fun (or should be when used correctly) and don't want people to miss out.

IMO as humble as it is...why is there any need for questions and polls? The point of my original question was to ask how can they be dealt with. i.e They should be being warned about inappropriate behaviour and told to stop it or they will be off the board.

What they are currently doing is disgusting, and as I've said before...pathetic and it should be stopped. Not the entire membership of K9 having to decide whether we have profile views or not. This goes way further than that when these despicable members go as far as they have.

If either of them phone any of my friends making threats I won't be asking how to stop them childishly looking at my profile every few hours, it will be to involve the police.

Right mine is now changed so i dont see the weirdos who come on noseying and have toss-all to post !

But is there anyway the bar to the left can be changed to hide my profile views as this doesnt mean a thing to me but obviously does to some people ?

the new way started off a laugh for me...popping in and out of my friends profiles was something new but my profile views were going through the roof every day..went from 800 to 2,500 in a couple of days..this unerved me cos you wonder who the hell is looking at you....its different when its people you know on here,i am not attacking that but its the anonymous brigade who do it...faceless people who nosey around on here.......

Well obviously we aren't going to be able to please everyone - some people aren't even pleased about having a poll to find out what they like! Some people have already been told off for leaving unpleasant PMs comments but I can't do anything about those UNLESS YOU TELL ME ABOUT IT.

BTW apart from using your settings to not show who your last visitors were you can also use your settings to not show comments or to only show them after you have approved them.

I am changing my mind now as it seems you can customise the new profiles to pretty well what you like. We'll see what the result of the poll is though.

TC - its probably stopping you from voting because you started the thread but we'll bear in mind what you said.

I hope you don't mean that I am not pleased that you're doing a poll. What I said was that it shouldn't have to come to that, as I don't want to be the cause of changing something that people like. As I also said, I like the comments bit. It's good for me as people can leave me a message once my inbox is full, and I'm sure others feel the same.

Anyway, I have sent you a pm again today as you have asked to be told about it in the above post, and I presume from that you mean you want me to tell you exactly who it is, what they're doing, and what I would hope would be done.

I did send a pm last week but did not receive a reply. However, I know that the systems can be unreliable at times. Please can you confirm that you receive this one I have just sent.

If you want to use your comment box like that then go to your Profile>Settings>New Comments>Enabled-Only When I Approve Them. That should fix the problem.

im guessing cause theres nothing to stop anyone profile surfing. if that is all the person is doing looking at profiles then its not like against the rules or anything.

if on the other hand they are sending messages or posting nasty comments then i would assume/hope if you forwarded them to nigel and judy then they would be warned or banned. :b

I thought the new profile status was to be able to look at someones posts or topics...or just

to see which part of the country they come from?? Can they be used for other reasons too then...?
