so pleased to read things are looking good for wee Rosie,

sending you guys lots of hugs :huggles:

Hope that's little Rosie well on the road to recovery now .

My whippet Hula had massive amounts of steroids for an auto immune condition when she was 2 .

She recovered well was weaned off them and was completely healthy till she died aged 15 so fingers crossed Rosie will be the same .xxx

Wishing Rosie all the best Jane for a speedy recovery...

its aweful when our animals are ill.. :luck: :luck:

jane you will see an improvement in a few days what doesage is she on ,as for the reaction to the injection she had in the back of her neck, tia had the same reaction and had the swelling but she didnt feel pain in it ,if it was me id start the steroids asap ,dont let the occasional good times fool you my tia was like this ok one min pain the next was at my wits end with her i lost count the amount of times i posted saying she was feeling brighter and then the next hour she was in pain ,just my opinion hun im shure youl do wat you think is right for your rosie :huggles:
CASANOVA HAD THE SAME LUMP AFTER HIS BOOSTER a bit of a pattern is forming here

I'd go for it and use the steroids..you'll know very soon if they are working in the right way...loads of love xxx

She had her first tablet a couple of hours ago, and ..............

Within an hour she moved unasked and unaided from the bed in the dining room to the sofa and Shane's lap!

She has just got up and asked to go out, run across the paddock, had a long wee and a poo (vet's recovery diet, yuk :x ) and is now hanging around looking for food (steroid side effect :( )

On the whole, much, much brighter and from that result, fingers crossed, I would say she is now responding to treatment

Keep sending the positive thoughts, guys!! I think it's working :) xx
omg poor rosie, sending shedfuls of positive thoughts your way, hope shes now on road to recovery

Oh bless her heart, I hope she is feeling better soon xxx

brilliant news jane

keep fighting wee rosie

lots of gentle :huggles: :huggles: to you all

hope rosie as a good night and you get some sleep jane

Poor wee lass :(

I hope that the steroids work and that Rosie picks up quickly.

Foxy was on 5mg daily for 3 weeks, then 2.5mg daily for another month. We now have her on 1mg daily and this seems to maintain her condition (spinal inflamation) really well.

She did get excessively hungry on the high dose and I switched her to a Lite diet so that she could have 2 - 3 medium meals a day. This at least keeps her a bit happier.

Fingers crossed that Rosie responds well to the treatment :) :luck: :luck:

Glad to hear rosie is feeling better on her meds and hope she continues to improve jane.

So glad to hear that Rosie is starting to feel a bit brighter and that her meds are helping. I hope she continies to improve and is feeling lots better soon :huggles: :huggles:

Hope she's had a good night Jane, and she's still on the up. x

Hope Rosie is well on the way back to her usual bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. The boys send healing licks and have risked including a few gentle bounces. :huggles: from me :)

Rosie seems to be feeling comfortable this morning  She got up this morning and has been out in the garden with the others and is now back in bed

She had a "funny turn" last evening when she was definitely in pain again. Her respiration rate rose dramatically and she was unable to move easily. This lasted for about 5-10 minutes and then she settled and went to sleep.

She is eating, drinking, weeing and pooing normally and got up unaided and came downstairs without any obvious discomfort. I am hopeful that she will get through this without any lasting effects but it is early days yet and, having read up on lots and lots of research, she could relapse or possibly not respond to treatment at any time.

At the moment I am quietly hoping that she will continue to improve and all will be well ........... thank you for asking, guys :D - I'll keep you all posted of any developments and, of course, regular updates on how Rosie is feeling
