my gran has always had dogs, but she got Sam (Samantha black lab) when i was about 6/7, and as we stayed at my gran most weekends when we were younger she was a huge part of my life and what i class my first dog, as she was the first dog i ever loved, but as you can geuss she must have been coming on 14/15 so getting very old.

about a year ago she was taken to the vets as shed put on a tone of weight and seemed to be in a little pain the vet found a tumor about 6lb in weight, inside her stomack but removed it she was tones better full of life again, but the past few weeks she has been having problems loosing use of her back legs for one

i got a message to say that yesterday they think she has had a stroke and they had to make the tough decission of putting her to sleep :'(

to say im gutted is a complete understatement as i know shes not been well, but put of going up to see her due to an argument between my gran and my sister that i was stuck in the middle. :'( :'(

Sorry if you get this twice i sent it earlier but it didnt work. I was so sad to hear of you and your grans loss, having lost my beautiful megan a little while ago i know how you feel. I also have a 14 yr old Lab who is bad on his back legs and you know that the time will come to say goodbye, but they have lived long and been happy. I wouldnt worry about Sam he knows you love him and dogs dont carry the same burdens as us humans.
