Affaire de Coeur, I like this one :thumbsup: , and there's Birkonbrae Coeur de Lyon in her pedigree, so there's the link to her pedigree, which I like to have in the puppies' names.

I still try to construct a name with a "Moire" or "Panthere" in it. I don't know whether there exists a word in English or in French that starts with an A and stands for something dark and shiny.

Hi Laila and congratulations from the pups sort of grandparents in Canada. As we bred Multi Ch. Avalonia Wheatfield Waving who clearly passed his colours along -- (and his Mom Cdn.Ch. Windspiel Parti Doll is sitting at my feet as I write this!) we figure we should come up with a suggestion or two as well.

That little bitch is very much the colour of our brindle boy that we are showing here -- Avalonia Oscar Peterson -- named after Canada's greatest jazz musician, but since you need A' how about something such as After The Fire? Ash Afterglow?

We are expecting a similarly coloured litter over here in mid September (sire Ch. Avalonia Wotta Jesta, dam Ch. Avalonia Barbados). I hope when our time comes we can come up with some equally inspired names.

Thanks Lanny Those names gave me an idea, and now she has a name of her own: she is called AfterEight Mint. (They were born between eight and ten in the morning, and she has that dark mint chocolate colour with minty white markings )
