so today was the day we were off to see the rescue whippet....cant tell you how excited we both were planning allsorts for this beautiful girl who we hoped was going to be a sister for phoebe i mean come on after hearing that there was a female whippy spayed age 18 months and blue in colour who wouldnt go a bit nuts...we gets to the rescue place and with hearts thumping hard we are taken to see her then the lady opens the kennel door and out comes a BROWN STAFFIE X TERRIER!!!!! GROWLING AT US ....as im sure you can imagine we both just stood there open mouthed thinking shes got the wrong dog out but alas no this was her so im sorry to say phoebe doesnt have a sister we came away gutted but also amazed that someone can get a beautiful blue whippet muddled up with a brown staffie x lol.............so ann if you want it go for it lol poor little thing was cute but she wasnt a whippet!!! and so the search goes on.xxx

Noooooooooooo..................what a carry on.

Im really sorry, i thought you'd got lucky there, bloody hell.

aww sorry to hear this,i know you had your hearts set on a blue whippet :(

im sure she will be somewhere out there waiting for you to find her

(w00t) Not even the same colour!! (w00t)

Very sad that the rescue lady can't tell the difference :(

I am keeping my eyes and ears open for a sister for Pheobe  :D

What a complete let down for you :( honestly theres a vast difference...you would think they could get the details right.

Im sure a blue whippet is somewhere waiting for you....or maybe it hasnt even been born yet... :- " :)

Im really sorry for your disappointment. I wonder how they managed to get a blue whippet mixed up with a brown staffie X ??? I hope the right dog comes along soon for you.

Awww, I'm so sorry to hear this - it must have been such a disappointment. :( Really hope the right dog turns up for you soon.

You know it will happen when the time is right and it will happen :huggles:

Maybe they were hoping that you would just take pity on it and take it home  Yes, what a shame :(

Oh, what celebrations we will have here when you finally get your 2nd Whippet

Tracey x

btw.. so pleased to hear that Lorna is feeling better

but what a shame for the staffie cross (not that I'd want to take home a dog that growled at me either)

:- " :- " HOW SAD FOR YOU,SOME OF THESE RESCUE PLACES DONT KNOW ONE BREED FROM ANOTHER,I'VE KNOWN THIS TO HAPPEN A FEW TIMES IN THE PAST.LADY P

Gosh I hope there isnt a owner looking for a brown staffy cross and being told by the rescue no sorry nothing answering that description all that has come in is a blue whippet.

And believe me it does happen
