Well, I thought the bee sting this morning was our worst bit of the day, but oh no

Took Winx for a run this evening just as the sun was going down and he pulled up, coming back to me slightly lame. Had a look and saw he had grazed his stopper pad, it really isn't bad and I've bathed it and put some lavendar oil on. Typical I thought, we've got the Weyhill Open on Sunday.

Made a phonecall and then he jumped onto my lap. He was enjoying the attention and so rolled onto his back like he normally does, and God did I get a shock!

I feel crap that I should have noticed this straight away, but it's on his underside and can't be seen from looking straight at him. They're not puncture wounds, he's just scraped the skin off, but the bruising is coming out already. I've tidied it up, bathed with salt water and put more lavendar oil on that as well.

Hopefully this will be our three things for a while, and at least he smells nice.....

I think we'll just be watching on Sunday, which will drive him in sane, so I might be there on my own :(

Think you'd better get the arnica out too

Poor winxy :(

That is the same place Arch tore himself on barbed wired - I didn't notice until he sat down and you could see the underside of his chest.

I hope he is feeling okay and perhaps he may be well enough to race :b But i definitely hope that is the end of your bad luck for a while :huggles:

Thanks everyone :huggles:

He is sore this morning, and being a total mummies boy :b

It was doing my head in last night as to how it could've happened, as he didn't take a tumble or anything  Seems like it must have been something like a stick that he trod on and it flicked up

If that's the case, it could've been a lot worse :sweating:

Poor Ollie :( That bruising does look nasty, but it also looks like it will heal up quite quickly. Nevermind if he misses this Sunday.....but he'd better be OK for the 15th
