    Puppy Farming

never said it was a "good puppy farm" there isnt't such a thing. Just pointing out the dogs were not in poor shape they were happy and lively and some did live in the farm house with the owner. Don't forget this was 12yrs ago and people are more aware today and the farm in question no longer...

    Puppy Farming

It realy is terrible the way these poor little things suffer! The picture of the pups in the Asian market place made me shudder, I dread to think what will happen to them. My own little dog Lucy came from a farm in Lancashire 12 years ago. The ad in the local paper said home bred. So I phoned...

    Kids!!!

If the poor little thing was being left for just a "few minutes" it would not of needed a minder. And if these "minders" were left on their own to mind the dog they can't have been young children. I am sorry to say it but as far as I am concerned these kids need a good slap!

Thank you for your reply and advice. Lucy seems a lot better this morning so I am feeling a lot happier. I am sorry if you thought I was making a fuss over nothing but little is known about SARDS. Dogs with this disease also develope lots of other problems like Cushings and kidney and liver...

    Sards

This evening Lucy passed her first normal looking poo in two weeks so I am feeling a little more hopeful. It has been very hot here in the UK these last two weeks and the vet said this could cause problems in the toilet department so heres hoping. I started her on "James wellbeloved" turkey and...

    Cataracts

I wish my little dog lucy had cataracts but it turned out to be SARDS which is incurable. It would of been covered by my insurance if she would of needed an op for cataracts and I think most pet insurance would cover it without a doubt but it is best to read the terms and conditions of the policy.

    Sards

My 12yr old cairn terrier was diagnosed with sards just over a year ago. she showed signes for cushings but tests were on the borderline so the vet decided not to give medication for this as he is not certain she has it. He will do tests again at a later date. she has recently had runny stools...
