Thanks Griff and Lana... I was very proud of little Barney... That would be great if you could get some pics of him this weekend Lana.. I only have a young pic of him and mum took a pic of Barney carrying his ribbon in his mouth...LOL It seems that Barney loves to carry his ribbon in his mouth...

Congratulations Cassie and Barney - its lovely and heaps of fun bringing puppies into the ring.

I hope your talking about Proserpine Cassie, it would be great Lana if you had a photo taking session this weekend, you know how hard it is trying to get partners to stand long enough to take piccy's plus my camera is still giving me the pips. Would love some up to date shots of my dogs and my new boy.

Rhythm made an entrance back to the ring the previous weekend after a year off recovering from an accident, was extremely pleased with her as she won her class both days but still needs to gain a bit more confidence on the stance.

Cristina

Thanks Cristina, Yes it is heaps of fun showing babies.. I have chinese crested babies i am running on at the moment too... and mum has pom babies so our entries are mainly babies at the moment...LOL

Yes i am talking about Proserpine, it's our first time there and we're looking forward to... Looking forward to cathcing up with you and your whippies...

Cassie

Well, the day has come, by beauty queen who is a quick stick in the paddocks at home went to racing (w00t)    All I can say is HILARIOUS
Miss Madam Brie's first race was 50mtr sprint - she went against a seasoned racer & had a ball, running I think more towards me than actually chasing the lure - she had a ball

Then came the 230mtrs  :b    She zoomed off against her competitor then about half way decided to take a chill pill & toddled off a pace even the veteran's would blow away     Got a bit puffed & lost interest :p    So the mighty debut was quite ordinary.... I even sat racetrack side for a bit of encouragement - nup, just curled up & went to sleep, occassionally lifting her head just to see what the thundering noise of the racers was     Guess the Beautiful Blonde thought that common racing stuff was just not for her (w00t)

Thankfully the 2 Lulu daughters who are hard out racers held up the flags for Shenace     Isis (Rac ch Shenace Moon Goddess) & Kwik (Rac Ch Shenace Good Golly Miss Molly) both ran their hearts out & ended up dualing each other, hard out Isis who had stripped a pad still ran & was only just beatn by her half sister, was awesome to watch

Master Rio picked up another RCC today along with Puppy Of Group under Beth Warman

shes so obviously far too much of a `lady` to chase those silly things  :huggles:

You got that right - the beauty queen had her debut & retired on the same day (w00t)

Couple of the hard out racers gave me a few tips on how to encourage her to chase, we've tried our own lure & she just sits there & watches it, kids running flat out & I am sure she is laughing at em (w00t) (w00t) She is after all the blonde bombshell who will stand & bait for hours on end for one piece of bait

I am taking pics for Gay McNeil & her staffies so a photo session will be fine - preferrably Saturday morning before the activity of the show starts ... it never seems to eventuate if we leave it til after the show has begun and by the end the dogs never take a good pic.

Perhaps I'll have to start charging for this photo taking caper ... maybe I could make a quid?

Just a little brag... Oakway Party Hero "Barney" had his first shows this weekend. Barney was awarded Baby in group under Mr R Baker (SA) at Sarina Kennel Club 27 May 2007. Thanks for letting me share our little brag.

WTG Cassie and Barney..... any pic's

Will look forward to the piccy's - who are his parents??

Yup Lana, we have a guy here who has started a company coz he was taking so many piccys - only prob is you won't be able to show your dogs coz you would be at ringside every spare minute (w00t) (w00t)

Gay's photo session should be a blast especially if Louie gets in on the act. :D

Will be lovely to catch up with you too Cassie, looks to be great weather this weekend - keeping the fingers crossed.

Our Clubs newsletter for April/May just got here. :D

The judge was our own lana, & BIS was a bitch called Yumyontheyes. Nice play on letters. :D But!!!!!!!! not to be out done......a mistake was made in the results. :(

It was spelt YUKYONTHEYES :- " :- " :- "

The M & K keys got in the way of each other. :( So to whoever did this!!!!!!!!.......keep up the good work.

Master Rio has just had his last lot of shows under the fantastic guidance of Paige O'Neill  Young Paige has been begging for a bit of playtime with Rio, she is going to use him for JDH at our Nationals - he is such a cool customer & slots into any situation - his wee holiday with Paige has exposed him to living with Pointers, English Springers, GSD's & a beagle - he is best mates with them all, I am sure he is going to think coming home is going to be boring (w00t) (w00t)

Anyway, I have told Paige that if she wins JDH & the trip to Crufts with Rio, I am going with her - they win a trip for themselves & an adult - her mother has been there a few times (2007 Crufts winning pointer & Grp 3 was bred by Diane - Paige's mum) so the pressure is on :huggles:

Anyway.....

WKC - John Forbes - Rio - Best Puppy of Group

WKC - Phil Kersey - Rio - Best Puppy of Group

So in 3 show weekends, Paige has managed to collect 2 x CC's and 4 POG's - not a bad effort from the two young juniors  - you reckon I will be allowed to show him when Paige is around :( I think not (w00t)

Ooh Cartman - what a terrible slip of the keys! (w00t)

Well done Master Rio and Paige.

Don't worry Lynda I just send another one for you, maybe Indy  umm some one any way. :D

Crikey, you are slow Griff  Told you to post Indy over ages ago... don't you know NZ Post put the prices up 1/6/07 (w00t) (w00t) You'd betta hurry up n shove her in that envelope before she gets to big - poor Rio is a confused lad, he can't figure out what fish & chips are - he is used to hearn feesh n cheeps :- " Maybe a mate from the other side of the tasman is what he needs (w00t) (w00t)

Thanks for the results Lana, poor excuse of feeling unwell by not attending yesterday  looks like you had a goody today

Who is the baby Party Hero's breeding??? Is he the Thatcher baby????

Hey Cartman, nice to see the Kiwi boy has had his wicked way with the Ozzie shelias - some very nice babies

I have to be pretty sick not to attend a dog show, let me tell you!

After vomiting all night and hot and cold sweats on Friday night ... Four times yesterday I got out of bed, saying to myself, "Can I go yet?" and when the unsteadiness on my feet set in each time I went "No! :( " and fell back into bed.

It kills me not to have been there ... Layla has 118 to go for grand - she needs to be out there pushing for the CC as much as possible. At 7 years of age it's getting harder for her amongst the young stuff. :sweating: If I could count all the RCC's she's had in the last twelve months she'd be well and truly there! :p

Great weekend Lana and Cassie,

Yes Rhythm took Reserve Chall Bitch on Sunday - was pleased with her result as she is gaining more confidence about being back in the ring. :))

So Lana - If your chasing those points we'll see you up here this coming weekend then huh :D

Had a good giggle to myself about the wrong spelling Cartman - thanks for posting it.

I bet the other exhibitors are thrilled you didn't bring you bugs on the first day (w00t) I'm sure Layla will get her points, I so know what you mean about RCC's - it rips ya undies being so close but just not quite there - Brie is the forever bridesmaid - she would have been well titled by now if the RCC's even counted for 1/4 of the cc - argh :b

Thanks for the piccy, had heard a bit about the young boy, he's off to a flying start

Congrat's to all the winners
