Had a lovely weekend in Cairns - Judges were Mr and Mrs Gunter from NSW

Saturday saw no other whippets but my three, Steelie took BOB with Amigo RUBOB

In group awards Amigo received Minor in Group and Rythmn - State Bred in Group

then Amigo went [SIZE=14pt]Minor in Show[/SIZE] yahhooooo which qualified him for Zone 3 Puppy of the Year so looks like I have to take the Friday off work to go (such a shame )

Still on a high from Sat., Sunday under Mr Gunter. (Kirsty was there with her boy Cruise, so we had one more whippy)

Amigo the little smartie pants received Challenge Dog with Steelie runner up while Rythmn took BOB and State Bred in Group. So the little boy is off the mark with some points Group went to a lovely young Afghan owned by some relatively new exhibitors which was also Junior so Kirsty didn't get to go back in.

Did have some photo's taken of Amigo Saturday night with Mrs Gunter but they are on a friends camera, so just waiting for them to be emailed to me. It was a funny photo shoot because everyone was making mexican areeeebaaaa noises because of his name. Guess if he ever gets a best in show he might get a mexican wave or the three amigo's salute

Told you I wouldn't waste my money!! Congrats on the win ... I spent the weekend babysitting my Mum who was by herself!

On another topic ... surely someone would have the Adelaide Royal catalogue by now and could give an idea of how many whippets are entered? (Please!!!) :cheers:

Way to go Cristina :thumbsup: I can just visualise the sounds from the photo shoot, would have to say I would be inclined to make those kinda noises toooo (w00t) (w00t)

We have the Mr Gunter for our prelude show for the nationals in 2.5wks - will be interesting to see what he does

I am getting a catalouge in a day or so. Will let you know. Can fax pages if you like???? 8) I only have 2 at home at moment. 8) 8) One is 7, & to me that is old enough , has been there & done that & so retired. The other is too young. I just sit around & wait for the e.mails to come in from the co-owns with the results of how I did that day. :cheers:

Not entered Adelaide this year, & am even getting a "handler" to do the honours at Vic, Whippet show. :lol:

No its okay I'm just being nosey!! Mum and I have decided that we are leaving the jet setting Mr Mooney at home for a change and having a girls weekend!!! Travelling up on Thursday to a dog friendly B& B which will allow Connie inside (really she's not THAT spoilt!!) Then back there Friday so we can take our time travelling home on Saturday ... gone past the whole Adelaide and back trip in one day thing :blink:

Yes the little darling has kicked his dad's butt twice in a couple of weeks now and Steelie's not impressed with Amigo sticking his tongue out each time Full of attitude he is, that was what Mrs Gunter's comment on him was as well as his lovely shape. Still no photo, so I think I'll have to get my partner to take some this afternoon.

If you go to www.takeabreak.com.au you can see the place we've booked... its called the Burnslea Log Cabin and its in Mylor. Will have to keep the dogs on leash though (my rules not theirs!) otherwise I can see us having a run in with a couple of Alpacas! :- "

Needless to say Mum couldn't care less about the actual dog show and is mostly looking forward to the continental hot brekky with the fresh bread!! Can't wait to see her fight off the kids for that!! (w00t)
