I'm entering the meeting hopefully, if not I'll be there helping out on the day butwho are the Northern entries in the open ???????

Greetings all lure coursers. As time marches on towards the 29 Sept. and the biggest lure coursing stake EVER I have some details to give concerning how things will run on the day and before:

Only dogs entered in the draw will be paid for. All monies for non running dogs will be refunded.

Your first nominated dog will be deemed to be your preferred entrant unless you have notified otherwise.

If, before the draw, you would like to change your preferred choice to another of your nominated dogs then please contact Andrea so that the substitution can be incorporated into the draw.

To take account of a withdrawn dog where the owner has not nominated a substitute, a further draw of reserve dogs will have been made. Priority will be given to an entry which will have been received after the stake has been filled. This will enable as many owners as possible to get a run.( for example, your dog might be the first on the reserve list but as you have already got a runner and someone else(say) at number 3 on the reserve list has not got a runner at all, then the dog at number 3 will be entered in the stake.)

If between the draw and the event you need to withdraw your first choice(which by that time will be in the draw) your second choice will automatically take its place. Please contact Andrea to update her.

On the day of the event, the card will be made up on the field to take account of any last minute withdrawals for which substitutions will be made as described above.

Please note that once the card is made up, that is the cut off point(there has to be one at some stage and this is the last possible moment) and late arrivals will not run.

The draw for the event on 29 Sept will take place on Saturday next ( 22nd ) and will be published on this site. It is expected that the stake will be fully subscribed and therefore there should not be any first round byes. A few dogs have had to be withdrawn due to injuries etc which is not unexpected. That will hopefully clear the way for some of you to run more than one dog. If you refer to previous posts from me you will be able to update yourselves on how further entries are arrived at.

5 to 6 miles from A17 on the B1168.

Follow signs to Holbeach St John airfield. The field for the event is next to the LAZY ACRE CARAVAN PARK.

Upon entry to the field, wheel arches of vehicles will be sprayed and foot ware dipped, so don't wear your best shoes! ( foot and mouth precautions)

The expected format is as follows:

All to arrive by 0900

Card made up at 0915

Start 0930

Due to the fact that foot and mouth precautions will be in place and the numbers of spectator's cars will be unknown there may well be some slippage on these times but please arrange to be there for 0900
