Ros and Grover have developed the disgusting habit of making a beeline for any bit of spat out chewing gum they find on pavements :x They've even gone as far as scraping it off the tarmac with their front teeth if it's particularly well trodden in :x They treat every walk as some kind of scavenger hunt, picking up anything they see, and I'm turning into a nutter talking to myself about how filthy this country is and how I want to move to Scandinavia (where any chewy would be frozen under three foot of snow, were the scandinavians to leave any, which they would not.)
They do 'leave' when instructed and have learned 'drop' which they largely obey but I seem to spend all my evening local walks taking one pace and saying 'leave', another pace 'drop' because they do go after anything! It's even worse when I have both dogs at once on my own. It's not how I envisaged dog walking! Will they grow out of it?
