I voted against, I don't like to see any dog 'dressed up', never mind whether they are Whippets or not.
You knew that was coming Tracy

I know there are those who don't agree with rugging their dogs up in cold/wet weather but that is a different issue altogether, that is done for a purpose.  I cannot see any justification for dressing dogs up other than ridicule.

:- " :- " :- " But there are coats and there are COATS !!! :p

Yes and all the coats (or collars come to that) my dogs wear are totally functional and for a purpose, i.e. to keep them warm and/or dry!!!

And do you know, I have just realised, Bertha, three years old and she doesn't possess a coat of her own, the few times she wears one they are hand-me-downs. How sad is that???

LOL! Dunno cos there are no bunnies where we walk, only Roe Deer, Muntjac, tree bunnies, pheasant, ducks, geese, crows, heron, seagulls, magpies ......... oh and swans, but Rupert has a healthy respect for them and pretends he can't see them!

Leopard print does quite a good job camouflaging them though I've discovered!!

Yes its mainly this I cant stand Caroline too.

They also sell outfits in Pets at Home now for Halloween, Christmas etc. Surely this gives out the wrong signals to our families too and younger kids - they will see them and think Ooo look lets dress the dog up (w00t)

I even mentioned this to one of the Pets at Home assistants and even she wasnt really in favour of them herself. I just said I couldnt see the point in them at all.

Kids don't need that to get the idea to dress the dog up. Kids have been dressing up dogs in human clothes for as long as forever!
