Oh no ... poor dogs and poor you too :huggles: I hope it's just a 24 hour thing and they're all feeling better tomorrow :luck:

If it's any consolation, mine had a "sick" bug in April. Apart from three of them, they all suffered.

They stopped eating, sicked up and stayed off their food for 24 hours by their own choice. After that they were back to normal.

I hope your "kids" just have the 24 hour bug :luck:

Wishing them all well ASAP

oh hunny wot a rough week for u and ur dogs, im sending healing thoughts to u and ur gang. hope they r all well soon xx

 O dear, Ive just caught up with this, Im so sorry that Moonpig has had a setback and the others have been ill, how worrying for you. :luck: :luck:

Hope everything improves for you soon.

So sorry to hear Moonpig is poorly. :( I hope things soon improve for her, and for your other dogs who are unwell too. :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: You are having a rough time at the moment. Sending positive thoughts to you all. :huggles: :huggles:

Hey guys..Moonpig has been much improved and so has James..they are both back to normal.

Badger my oldie whippet however is still not a happy chap...he seems ok in himself but he just won't eat...I can get him to maybe eat two or three pieces of kibble and that's it..next time you offer it he won't eat it..he's turned his nose up at pretty much everything. hIs temperature is normal, he is as active as normal but obviously being 13 he's not exactly flying around. I have given him metacam for a couple of days in case the pain from his corns was upsetting him but it doesn't seem to be that.

Yesterday I bought a little foil tray thing of Ceasar dog food and he ate half of it but today won't touch it...he's never been a fussy dog and the only time he has behaved like this before is when Woody died last year....I'm wondering if something has upset him. Anyway we have decided to see how he is in the next 24hrs and take him to the vets if he is no better as this all began on Monday.

I'm very pleased to hear that Zoe and James are on the mend but so sad to know that Badger isn't very happy :(

I do hope he picks up, poor boy .......... give him lots of kisses from us here and a nice gentle hug :huggles:

Hi thanks..Badger is booked in to see the vet on Monday so hopefully he will recover from this, unless of course he is losing his appetite due to being old..

My vets here in East Lothian said that there is a sickness bug doing the rounds at present. Hope all are well soon :luck:

Hi thanks guys...he just looks at his food and either won't touch it or just eats a small mouthful then pick up another bit then spits it out.

He is the least fussy dog in the world..the only times he has ever turned away from his food has been if he is ill or when Woody died but he's always been a fantastic eater...i'm very worried that he might be reaching the end of the road..except that to look at him he looks as good as ever..nice soft shiny coat, bright eyes..he even managed an hour in the woods this after noon and even ran a short distance so I just don't understand.

offered him his tea as normal but he just licked it once and walked away.

how very worrying for you, Im hoping its just the bug and nothing else.... :huggles: :luck: :luck:

Could it be to do with it being so hot at the moment? Maybe when the weather breaks he will feel a bit more like eating.

Glad to hear James and Moonpig are feeling better now though and hope Badger is soon on the mend too.

Are his teeth OK ?

Yes, all my dogs have their teeth cleaned every day much to their disgust..it was the first thing I checked along with taking his temperature...I shall be poking a thermometer up his bum again a little later :clown:

I had a really good look at all his teeth again this morning but they look fine..only a very slight yellowy discolouration on some teeth but he is 13 years old bless him.

anyway he'll prob get bloods done at the vets tomorrow so we'll have a better idea then..I'm just very very not ready for him to not be around anymore so he has to be ok. :b

Hi thanks...This all began over a week ago but the weather has only been warm the last four days.....he vomited up a load of bile and grass at two this morning and has done the same a couple of times earlier in the week so its either a bug or a touch of pancreatitis..seems funny that two dogs in the house could have the same problem but Badger had a blood test a while back which suggested there was possibly an issue with his pancreas but pancreatitis is normally triggered by the consumption of fat and all my dogs have low fat food and none of them have much in the way of treats so dunno really..poor B.

will update tomorrow night when we get back from vets.

:luck: :luck: good luck to Badger at the vets tomorrow - hope he soon picks up :huggles:

Fingers crossed hope they are all 100% again soon, they are such a worry x :luck:

Good Luck at the vets tomorrow :luck: :luck: :luck: :huggles:

Poor Badger, I hope he gets his appetite back soon :huggles: Hope all goes well at the vets.
